OBJECTIVE

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Over 28 years of engineering, design and drafting experience.

Checking of aerospace parts and assemblies.

Teaching of Pro/Engineer CAD software.

Compact packaging of parts for hand held medical devices and creation of ergonomic handle shapes to contain them.

Extensive use of Pro/Surface and Pro/Mechanism and Solidworks.

Routing and design of hydraulic tubing for a skid steer loader (tubes and hoses) using Pro/Pipe.

Created an Access database of standard drawing notes with programming to ease the consistent creation of notes on drawings.

Concept work on a hose routing from a rotating to a non-rotating section of a cell culture system.

Modified an existing set of plastic parts to work in a new situation, arranged for rapid prototypes, passed the approved on to the manufacturer and inspected the first article.

Designed and developed a number of programmed routines to make the drafting and design operations easier with various CAD systems.

Concept design of military vehicles.

Worked on the repackaging of a commercial color monitor in to a ruggedized chassis to be used in military vehicles.

Drafting of ballast distribution and arrangement drawings for a scaled down model of a US Navy submarine.

Drafting of electrical and hydraulic diagrams used on underwater remote controlled vehicles, hyperbaric systems and submarines.

Design and drafting of gauges and test fixtures for steering mechanisms and in the manufacture, inspection and repair of jet engine parts and assemblies.

Design of a mechanism to change paper in a sandpaper maker while the maker is running (material savings estimated to be over $500k/year).

CAPABILITIES

Skilled 3D modeler, Pro/Engineer and Solidworks user.

Skilled in use of Pro/Sheetmetal, Pro/Pipe, Pro/Surface, Pro/PDM and Pro/Interlink.

Other CAD systems: Computervision CADDS 4-X, CV Personal Designer, Applicon, NX4/6 (UG).

E/M Packaging experience including computer chassis, computer monitors, electronics for medical x-ray systems and aerospace systems.

Knowledgeable of plastic, sheetmetal and machined parts.

Experienced in Aerospace (jet engines, satellites, flight controls and space experimental systems).

Experienced in Marine (underwater remote operated vehicles and submarines).

Experienced in Automotive (skid steer loaders, tractors, military vehicles and automotive switches and connectors).
