Primary Functions

Laboratory Management

• Conducts complete physico-chemical, microbiological and/or sensory (where required) of raw materials, manufacturing supplies, in process and finished products.

• Implements Laboratory Management System requirements.

• Encodes all analysis data to Production and Quality Monitoring System (PQMS) and generates reports as required by QA-Head, Area Operations Manager and/or Functional Unit.

• Conducts sensory validation test for every new batch alcohol delivery and recommends approved alcohol blending ratio to Process Operations Department.

• Conducts sampling during alcohol barge delivery.

• Conducts preparation and standardization of all reagents and standard solution for the analysis.

• Prepares Quality Inspection Report for every non-conforming raw and manufacturing supply deliveries.

• Feedbacks or reports results of analysis evaluation to the QA-Head, especially those with non-conforming results that may lead to operational downtime, requiring immediate attention.

• Monitors and regularly reports the OTP member’s performance in terms of participation and performance/sensitiveness. Implements the approved incentives program.

• Prepares daily, weekly, monthly and other quality reports.

• Undertakes proper turn-over of work at the end of shift to ensure continuity of on going work and activities.

• Provides Logistics Department during alcohol withdrawal from external suppliers.

• Prepares annual laboratory budget for review and approval of QA-Head.

• Monitors requisitions and expenditures based on approved budget for laboratory supplies.

• Implements the documented quality system and procedures within the department.

• Facilitates the implementation of product exchange program, submission of samples to ASL for quality checks and forwarding of samples as requested by corporate functions.

• Conducts validation analysis of special samples (products under study, raw materials, product returns and other manufacturing supplies)

• Operates, maintains and calibrates sensitive laboratory equipments such as:

Spectrophotometer, Density meter, Turbidimeter, Viscometer, Autoclave & pH/TDS meter.

Process Line

• Conducts routine quality inspection of entire packaging line operations starting from bottle washing up to finished goods.

• Reports to Operations any non-conformance for immediate attention and actions.

• Conducts regular full goods inspection in all packaging lines and ensures that all products exceeding AQL are properly held. Recommends product disposition and prepares daily Full goods Monitoring Reports.

• Encodes all monitoring data to PQMS and generates reports as required by QA-Head, Area Operations Manager and / or Functional Unit.

• Assists Operations in data gathering especially during investigation of quality problems and participates in solution formulation to the problem.

• Implements and adheres to the documented quality system and procedures of the department.

• Prepares test bottles for EBI and test materials for other in-line sensors. Checks go-no-go gages used in the Operations.

Materials Quality Management

• Conducts statistical sampling, inspection and evaluation of all incoming packaging material deliveries and recommends acceptance and rejection based on the results of evaluation.

• Coordinates and guides the conduct of actual line tests whenever required by any material acceptance procedures.

• Conducts validation test of current packaging material from new supplier and/or packaging design.

• Handles and validates complaints reported by Packaging Operations on all packaging materials found to be defective while in use and relay findings to suppliers for appropriate corrective actions.

Audit Management

• Manages the conduct of the following audits / inspections

a. Plant Quality System Audit

b. Full goods, packaging and raw materials warehouses

c. Third party second hand bottle washers and sorters

d. Suppliers Audit

e. Dealers and Trade audits

f. Tollers Audit

• Conduct follow-up audit and monitors corrective actions status on reported non-

conformances.

• Coordinates and assists Logistics in the implementation of B.O. Management.

• Manages the implementation of Plant’s quality programs such as GMP, SSOP

• Implements and adheres to documented quality system and procedures within the

Department.
