Provided legal guidance to the University President, the VP for Finance and other officers. Provided advice to the HR Department on numerous employee matters as well as compliance with federal laws. Handled EEOC complaints and oversaw workers’ compensation processes. Squire, Sanders & Dempsey LLP, Associate 1986 - 1989 Worked on a variety of corporate mergers and acquisitions, including Bridgestone Corporation’s multi-billion dollar purchase of Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. Participated as bond counsel in issuance of $53 million of bonds for Ohio hospital. Drafted numerous memoranda on a variety of research topics.
