U.S. Navy – Awarded Navy and Marine Corp Achievement Medal (NAM) for overseeing the complete overhaul and repair the ship’s number one diesel generator (SSDG) and number one fire pump while underway in route to the Persian Gulf in support of combat operations.
Awarded Humanitarian Relief Medal for relief efforts off the coast of Sri Lanka in the Indian Ocean following the December 2004 tsunami. Took part in the rescue of stranded civilians, bringing of clean drinking water, and food rations to the people in need.
