I was contracted through a personnel company to run the S&R department and was doing a great job running and managing this department, I was I charge of all inbound and outbound traffic making sure all freight had all it legal papers as bill of landings, heat and P.O’s and arranged all local deliveries thru local hot shot companies and freight companies… ultimately I was laid off as this company was also hit hard by the down turn on the oil sector. Also on slow days I would unloaded all the trucks my self-using a sit down forklift, 10 ton forklift, Aswell as a combi-lift loader.

Detail foreman / CNC programmer

As a foreman I made sure my crew 8 men operated in an efficient manner .Also made sure all the production came out in a timely manner as we have tight dead-lines to meet..

As a cnc plate burner operator my job consists of, programing all the images that are on the blueprints into the machine, as the images are what I will be cutting into steel at a later time. I do this via AutoCAD based software were I redraw to spec all the images into my machine. The next step is to set the steel type, size and thickness on the program then I load the steel plate to the burn table using a 10 ton overhead crane that I also operate as part of my job. After my table is loaded I run the program at that point I just make sure everything is going well, this process takes anywere from 10 min to 8 hours depending how complicated the program is. The last part of my job is unloading the table sorting and labeling all the plates that I have cut..

Skills acquired in this position

4 years’ experience as a operator of this type of cnc machines.

I have great Blueprint/ cad based drawings reading skill an interpreting skills.

Ability to proficiently program cnc machines with promotion control controllers.
