I wish to apply for the Credit Manager position with your company. I have been in the Credit Field for over 25 years, both in a Commercial Bank setting and as a Credit Manager for several types of businesses. In addition, I completed my Master of Science in Finance while working full time.

I have worked for a manufacturing company for five plus years, with sales throughout the United States and some in Canada. I gained eight years of experience working with a HVAC wholesaler, and five plus years working at retail construction company. In all three of these organizations, I was granting credit to commercial business entities and supervised a staff of up to four people at the last two positions. I believe open and honest communication is important in any organization, and if it is done well you will build a strong team working to achieve the company’s sales goals and objectives.

Granting credit starts with the Five C’s of Credit, whether it is on a secured or unsecured basis. I try to apply this training to every application that crosses my desk. Another important part of this position is to work with your internal customers to address their concerns and use them to evaluate other factors of the possible account that may not be apparent from looking at numbers only.
