My job as VMware\Windows System Administrator is to manage all the production servers (ESXi hosts and VMs) for Mercedes-Benz. We are having VMware Vcenter Servers which are central control point for data center services such as access control, performance monitoring and alarm management and troubleshooting network problem and outage in collaboration with network team.

• The main objective is to keep all the servers up and running all the time and to fine the root cause if Server was down for some reason.

• As the network part of our troubleshooting we check ip address, subnet mask, default gateway and DNS

Server for the particular domain.

We manage all the physical serves and also Virtual Machines having windows operating system

(Including 2003, 2008 and 2012 servers).

• My job as Network administrator is to manage all the networking devices (switches and routers) for Mercedes-Benz for all the locations.

• We are using “CA Spectrum” which a network infrastructure management software.

• With help of “CA Spectrum” we do performance monitoring and alarm management for networking Devices and based on criticality we take care of the alerts.

• CISM is the ticketing tool for Mercedes-Benz environment and after creating ticket, our efforts and Steps done to resolve the issue are recorded in the forms of log which can be used for future reference. EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
