During one year transition after region-wide job elimination, assigned positions included Call Center (Appointment scheduling), Internal Medicine Clinic (front and back office), Orthopedics (surgical scheduling and benefits verification), Sleep Clinic administrative support for the Department Manager and Assistant Department manager, and Legal Secretary pool at the Regional Office.
August 2001-September 2002: Silicon Valley College (Now Carrington College), Emeryville, California: Instructor for the Medical Administrative Assisting program, teaching Medical Terminology, Medical Office Procedures, Medical Records administration/transcription, basic Billing and Coding (ICD-9, CPT), scheduling, insurance procedures (including Workers Compensation, Medicare, and Medi-Cal).

August 1992-June 1999: Celebrity Personal Assistant, Los Angeles, CA. Personal Assistant/Confidante to Semi-Retired Actor/Singer: Received telephone calls, emails, letters, proposals, contracts and other forms of correspondence on behalf of the celebrity. Maintained record of each correspondence. Made travel, food and accommodations arrangement for business or personal tours. Entrusted with making bill payments on behalf of the celebrity from both personal and business accounts. Managed home and office of the celebrity and his wife, including personal errands from his Beverly Hills home, Utah horse ranch, and temporary residence in Branson, MO when working there. Coordinated “meet and greet” sessions with the celebrity before and after appearances. Handled all requests for autographed photos. Transcribed notes for celebrity’s speeches for his various political and charitable causes.
