Makes rounds, checks patients condition, IV site, IV flow rates, patient s sex and wrist tag.

Checks equipments like suction machines and nebulizer machine if functional and reports to electrical department if out of order.

Checks E-kit and availability of oxygen supply.

Takes vital signs, respiratory rate, cardiac rate and temperature of the patients.

Admits patients from OR/DR, ER and trans-in from ward and carries out doctor s order accurately.

Assess and refers patient s condition like cyanosis, seizures, spasms and abdominal retractions.

Gives medications, treatments and NGT as ordered.

Give some health teachings to the patients and watchers.

Maintains medical sepsis.

Maintains cleanliness and orderliness in the area and adheres to hospital infection control and waste management policy.

Discharge patients per doctor s order.

Coordinates with other hospital departments.

Tools and Instruments Used:

ECG machine, suction apparatus, pulse oximeter, cardiac monitor, glocometer, nebulizer, water seal drainage, stethoscope, suturing set/dressing set, sphygmomanometer & IV Canula.
