Employed a 65-gallon recycling trashcan to place in libraries for purpose of capturing public awareness in recycling. Created a form of artwork using the three R’s: Placed a recycle word puzzle on one side of can, created a poster from recycled items for the word “reuse” on second side, and on final side, placed examples of methods in reducing waste.
Presented project at an academic symposium and used for capstone project at Arizona State University.
Contacted elementary and high schools to encourage start up recycling programs.
Educated in the importance of recycling by communicating to children through elementary school projects.
Worked in tandem with coworkers as a volunteer teaching children and adults the importance of recycling through PowerPoint presentations and demonstrations created from recycled items.
