ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE:

Connecting Raspberry PI to the Internet Through UART Serial Port IIT Lab 03/2016 – 06/2016

Realized connection between Raspberry PI to the internet through UART Serial Port without WiFi or Ethernet.

Established USB based UART convertor to ensure 3.3V power environment and set up all the wire works that could communicate and transfer data between my desktop which operated in Raspbian OS.

Built up an serial IP link by adopting PPP protocol and set up the routing and NAT and then communicate. IIT Perfect Power Smart Grid Project (DoE Funded) IIT Lab 01/2014 – 12/2015

Participated in developing the Smart Building Automation System including building controllers (PLCs), Zigbee sensors (Motion), and controllable loads (Lights) for energy efficiency and demand response.

Programmed the embedded microcontrollers (Arduino, Atmel, MIPS, etc) and Xbee module in C/C++ to allow data transmission and by connecting with motion sensors and smart relays to realise a small-scale SCADA system.

Developed the system GUI in Linux and the Perfect Power System Smart grid demonstration platform. Optical and Wireless Integration Lab (OWIL) Research Assistant 08/2012 – Present

Performing research simulations and data analysis for multi-objective optimization using MATLAB.

Mainly focusing on Smart Grid Distributed System Management Electric Vehicle Charging/Discharging Scheduling Optimization and also Game Theory on Electricity Market with EV Fleet considering RES’s penetration.

Reporting simulation results (presentation) in PPT every week. PUBLICATIONS:
