Technology Officer – Money Transfer Customer Service

Responsible for maintaining, enhancing a VAX based Money Transfer Customer Service System. Batch processing time shortened from 10 hours to 5 hours so that 2,500+ worldwide users could have earlier access. MQ subsystems were migrated several times. Also included VMS to Solaris migration.

24 x 7 L2 and L3 support for Solaris and VMS environments.

Data was processed from real-time feeds from Money Transfer, FED, CHIPS, SWIFT and TELEX and cross referenced, then extracted to UNIX for backend processing and VB front end.

System contained other subsystems for adjustments, compensations and fee billing.

Participated in various Disaster Recovery scenarios including our actual recovery on 9/11.

Maintained and enhanced Operator Run-book and other documentation. Ran full QA and UAT.
