BP Exploration & Production, Inc., Houston, TX 2000 - 2016 Well Site Leader GoM DeepWater (2012–2016)

Transitioned from day supervisor on Transocean DDII to night supervisor on Mad Dog Spar after working for less than 6 months on DDII. Increased leadership responsibilities assigned based on proven work ethic, safety, technical, onsite supervision, professional attitude, team support and guidance skills.

Led operations on the Transocean DDII (Semi) as day supervisor; Mad Dog Spar as night supervisor; Helix Q-5000 (Intervention Semi) as night supervisor.

Supervised in +4,500’ WD, w/ SOBM, +25k feet (MD), Directional (60o Incl), Casing & Liner setting, Cementing, MWD, E-Line, TCP, Coring, Fishing, Sidetracking, and Flowback Operations. Actively worked with Engineering to review and develop procedures. Maintained the rig operations tracker (5-Day Planner).

Coordinated SIMOPS on Mad Dog for $800M rig repair project while producing +30k bbls/day.

Collaborated with Subsea engineers to re-design umbilical clamps for Q-5000 Intervention Riser, avoided misalignment with fixed umbilical reels.

Provided technical support to engineering with Well Program Line-by-Line and HAZID/HAZOP analysis.

Initiated daily ops review/quiz during Pre-Tour meetings on Mad Dog to grow crew competency and improve safety; resulting in safety and performance recognition in 2015.

Initial user of GSI Remote Operated Cement Head, saving over $50k in rental costs and +6 hrs rig time. Senior Intervention Engineer GoM DeepWater (2009–2012)

Stepped-up to assume the Interim Intervention Engineering Team Lead and Nile P&A Engineering Team Lead positions when the company received an unexpected resignation from another employee. Worked on Holstein & Horn Mountain Spars, Thunder Horse, Pompano Platform, Marlin TLP.

Thunder Horse SPA (Single Point of Accountability). Engineered and executed plugging, perforating and logging operations. GC 822 #8 Log/Perf added 4.5 – 6 MMBO Reserves, completed at 60% of AFE.

Developed standardized stimulation procedures for Holstein saving $400,000/yr on rentals, 120 hr/yr reduction of downtime and 15,000bbl/yr reduction of deferred production

Prepared and executed Acid / Xylene stimulation campaigns on Horn Mountain and Pompano, executed 33 rigless interventions with 0 LTAs 8 months.

Engineered novel Hydrate Remediation on Marlin, restoring 700 bopd for a total spend of $70,000.

(H&P 159 5/8/02). Supervised the start-up of 3 new rigs Nabors 444, H&P 179 and H&P 180 with no LTA or environmental incidences. Engineered and drilled BP’s 1st pad well in the Rockies, saving 2 days rig time, $75k in location costs. Pad locations quickly became the standard BP design.
