Position: Overseer Miner Feb 2013 to Jan 2014
A post where I was running/managing a section with development, short hole and long hole stoping, production and pipes tracks and ventilation maintenance crews. The job involved planning for these crews and on site management of tasks; reporting to the mine captain. In this position my responsibilities included;

4. Metallon Gold Zimbabwe – How Mine
Postion: Trainee Mining Engineer Mar 2012 to Jan 2013 This was highly educational and skill developing programme that took me through all activities of Gold mining (massive ore body). My role was that of a junior Mining Engineer in which I went through all activities for the purpose of optimizing and redesigning these operations. I was involved in problem solving across the mining department. Most of the time was spent in the 16N7 shaft deepening project. My role in this project was to monitor project on site, coordinate and conduct project meetings and was part of the project planning team. The project involved shaft sinking, shaft equipping, mining a hoist chamber, mining two rope raises, mining a sheave wheels chamber, mining two conveyor drives, installation of a hoist, installation of a camel back tipping station, installation of two conveyor belts and construction of a loading station. Position: Trainee Mining Engineer Jan 2011 to Feb 2012 In this position I underwent an appreciation programme that matured into supervision and the last four months were spent optimizing operations and monitoring production. The mining operations included drilling and blasting, lashing, tramming, crushing, loading and ore hoisting.

Projects Undertaken
1. A comparison of button bits (tapper steel) with chisel (integrated) bits at How Mine. 2. Surface mine operation to bridge over a shut down period of underground operations at How mine for a period of 10 days. This project kept the plant running with low grade ore from the surface operation for the shut down period successfully with commendable bullions produced at a very low cost.
