AF Global Corporation– Houston, TX, 2012 – 2015

Technical Sales

Technical Sales in a wide range of products and services that AF Global provides. Take cold call leads and listen to the client to develop lists of needs and wants, and then educate the client on the various solutions. Continued to work with the client’s engineering, interfacing with AF Global’s resources to develop successful solutions. Completed the sale to GE/Vetco, UK for the Bonga Field equipment rework/re-insulation in Nigeria, a total of 22 Wellhead Systems. Assisted in winning the inaugural Wellhead insulation work for equipment produced in Brasil by GE. Sold insulation programs on many Wellheads and Jumpers at OneSubsea, Berwick. I was able to successfully regain sales from OneSubsea, by my methods from quote to completion. Sold the adjustable Stress Joint and Coupling Guard Insulation for the TOTAL, MOHO Nord project to Oil Patch Technologies.

Product Manager

Primary Responsibilities being Product Manager are oversight and integrity of Estimating, Design (using SolidWorks), Project Management, Product Management, Product Development and Quality Assurance. Products include but are not limited to; Insulation, Distributive Buoyance, Crushable Foam and Special Projects. Worked with Technip and Exxon for insulating the deep equipment for MWCS (Marine Well Containment System, response to BP Macondo).

Instrumental in the design change and final sale of Crushable Foam to Anadarko and BP. Booked orders with Anadarko and BP. Anadarko has successfully installed the system to a new well and will be making Crushable Foam a standard requirement on future wells. BP is also expected to spec Crushable Foam to their future drilling campaigns.

As Product Manager, worked closely with GE Oil & Gas’ International Supply Chain to leverage activity in Scotland to win insulation coverage on the first ever Subsea Christmas Tree produced turn-key by GE, in Brazil, becoming their sole source provider for future builds and win the complete re-work of the Production Trees in the entire Bonga field, Africa.

Trelleborg CRP – Houston, TX, 2007 – 2012 Tooling Manager / R&D

Manage a team that used Inventor to develop products, product models and production drawings for Sub-Sea Insulation and all forms of Buoyancy Engineered items. I personally designed a semi-automated Polyurethane mold/production station cutting man hours from 8 per part to 2. To answer a client’s “one off” need I designed a remotely operated sub-sea clamp to assist installation of flexibles on the Kizomba Field. Forged agreements between Engineering Department and Manufacturing on new product processes and improved existing product lines. Built relationships with tooling vendors to produce tools in composite, cast aluminum and steel fabricated materials.

Designed and built top-side operated, diver-less and retrievable umbilical installation equipment that allowed a stalled Exxon/Kizomba Fields Project to complete the umbilical connection phase on-time.

Jindal United Steel – Baytown, TX, 2006 – /2007 Maintenance Planner

Work closely with maintenance engineers to identify issues and plan to completion work to be done. Using MP2, identified all equipment and sub-equipment groups, designed preventive maintenance tasks, instructions and work orders to reduce down time.

Web Devices – Houston, TX, 2005 – 2006 Operations Manager

Responsible for day-to-day activities that influenced P&L. I changed work flow to improve throughput. Responsible for facility management and maintenance, production equipment repair and acquisition. As General Manager, reduce on-hand inventory to JIT levels and through asset planning, drive unbillable overtime to near zero levels.

Worked closely with Sales and Purchasing to keep Customer’s required ship dates. Reduced on-hand inventory by 65% and eliminated unpaid overtime. Increased output by over 20% and reduced late shipments to less than 1% of revenue.

Sold the netted ceiling project, design and installation to Lakewood Church, seen on TV.

Sold Sun-Belt Rentals a national program of a low-cost (throw away) Safety Harness in a bag.

Sold a perimeter Fall Safety system to McGraw-Hill for a hotel they built in Las Vegas.
