Conduct surveys on the health status of the community and develop relations with community residents/community organizations.

Collaborate with health centers and community organizations to develop educational
workshops and classes focusing on childbirth and parenting skills.
Use information attained at clinical meetings, training, and case conferences to develop workshops.

Refer clients to appropriate resources: crisis intervention specialists, community resources,
childcare, domestic violence, counseling, education, and pediatric programs.
Advocate and act as a liaison for clients using community programs.
