Responsibilities and Tasks Description

Managing and implementing the performance-based monitoring.

Ensure timely monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities.

Position: MEAL Officer Bannu

Responsibilities and Tasks Description

Under the supervision of and in close collaboration with the MEAL Manager the MEAL Officer has overall responsibility for the collection, management and analysis of MEAL data.

My Responsibilities includes:

1. Monitoring:

On an ongoing basis ensure that project monitoring data is collected, stored and analyzed in a clear and professional manner. Working closely with the Data Management Officer DMO ensures that all data is verified and cleaned before analysis and archive.

Conduct different assessments surveys on IDEA implemented activities using agreed tools to ensure the data collection.

Frequent field visits to carry out process monitoring based on minimum standards and output level indicators.

2. Evaluation:

With the support of the MEAL Manager, MEAL Officer along with the DMO to ensure that data collection tools are appropriately designed to allow the proper collection and processing of information as per MEAL requirement; ensure that all database for all surveys are properly managed; ensure that appropriate data validation and cleaning procedures are implemented to verify the authenticity of information collected.

Produce narrative reports based on statistical analysis of surveys and relevant secondary data. Evaluation reports must be responsive to the indicators outlined in the project proposal as well as additional indicators agreed with the MEAL Manager and IDEA Head of Programmes.

3. Community Feedback & Grievance Mechanisms

Facilitate CRM Officer to manage complaint response mechanism at project locations which will allow communities to provide IDEA with feedback on project implementation; register and monitor complaints.

Ensure that the project beneficiaries are given orientation regarding IDEA CRM procedures supporting CRM Officer

Ensure accountability minimum standards according to HAP principles and Humanitarian code of conduct

4. Reporting:

Write weekly, Monthly and Quarterly activity reports and submit to the MEAL Manager including updates on monitoring results.

Report all information or difficulty related to IDEA’s activities or security aspects.

Attend regular in-house follow-up discussions/meetings with the project team.
