Summary of Professional Experience:

Specialized in naval installations and equipment – I worked more then 9 years in several Romanian shipyards,

as coordinating engineer and quality control inspector of newbuilding and ships repair, thereafter almost 6 years

as newbuilding surveyor for German, Dutch and Greek ship-owner. During my experience in newbuilding

supervision I was involve in construction of various types of vessels: chemical tankers; containers; cargo heavy lift and survey vessels.

Machinery / outfitting surveyor during construction of containership 9100 TEU in Shipyard Daewoo Mangalia.

Capital Ship Management June 2015 – May 2016

Technical Machinery outfitting survey June 2015 – May 2016

Responsibilities during supervision of three container vessels 9100 TEU on behalf of CAPITAL SHIPPING for

hull outfitting and machinery, in “DAEWOO SHIPYARD MANGALIA”:

Inspection for outfitting installation on whole vessel during hull assembly;

Hatch cover installation on board including hose test;

Container test on hatch covers and cargo holds;

Technical inspection and pressure test performed of all machinery and deck systems, thereafter function

test was carried out during HAT program;

Installation inspection of propulsion system including alignment measurements;

Commissioning of several equipments during HAT such us: HV switchboard protection, DG & EM’CY DG

safety and load test, compressors, boilers, ER crane and communication systems (P.A. talkback system

and telephones). Function test including load test were carried out for all deck equipments (winch &

windlass, accommodation ladders, life boat/rescue boat and provision crane). Nav. lights, normal and

emergency lighting, 24 DC / 230 V & 440 V distribution system were tested as well.

SAT program commence with magneting compass, endurance of propulsion system, function test of boiler,

fresh water generator, bowthruster. Black out and dead ship, anchor system, UMS test, noise and vibration

measurements.Ilumination were inspected as well. Function test carried out of other systems such as:

ballast system, fire dection system, and remote tank sounding system.

Supervision work has been carried out during construction of three containerships 9100 TEU in DAEWOO Shipyard Mangalia.

Responsibilities during supervision of survey vessels on behalf of FUGRO MARITIME for hull, machinery, and HAT / SAT programs in “DAMEN SHIPYARD GALATI”:

Technical inspection of blocks, joints and structural tanks (including outfitting installation and tightness tests) during hull assembly;

Technical inspection and pressure test performed of all machinery and deck systems;

Installation inspection of propulsion system including alignment measurements;

Inspection during HAT program of all equipments such us: power generation system (genset and alarm, PMS, safeties of MSB); propulsion system (alarm & safeties of frecvency drivers for BWT and thrusters, DP system); function test of all ship systems; deck equipment (mooring and anchor winches, load and function test of deck cranes and MOB crane including launching / recovery of rescue boat); electrical (lalarm and monitoring system, lighting and emergency lighting, 24 DC / 230 V & 440 V distribution system), telephone, PA/GA system, fire detection system, nautical bridge alarm, so on;

Inspection during SAT program: endurance of propulsion system, function test of boiler, fresh water generator, bowthruster, black out and dead ship, anchor system, UMS test, noise and vibration measurements.Ilumination and other systems such as: ballast system, fire dection system, and remote tank sounding system are tested. Nautical test including speed measurement and steering trials are witnessed as well.

All responsibilities mentioned above performed of two offshore costal survey vessels built in Damen Shipyard Galati. At a length of 53m, the vessel is one of the most advanced of its type. Apart of standard supervision activities, a personal challenge was supervision of installation and testing of survey equipment. Vessel is equipped with following survey equipment: moonpool, HiPAP, ROV, sonar, geophysical and geotechnical provisions as well as internal networks for data processing.

Main responsibilities during supervision on behalf of Beluga Shipping Bremen and Hansa Heavy Lift for piping, outfitting, machinery and commissioning during construction in China as following:

Cable installation and connection inspections on decks, rooms and electrical panel;

Shaft line and steering gear installation;

Installation and testing of piping systems on whole vessel;

Commissioning of all machinery equipments (safety and alarms of main Engine, CPP, Gearbox and Shaft generator; Emergency and Main Generators; TO boiler, incinerator, separators, booster unit, hydraulic remote valves, automation of several pumps, AMS and PMS system, so on);

Load test and function test of cargo cranes, FBB davit (including FBB launching & recovery test), Provision crane and rescue boat crane (including launching and recovery test of rescue boat);

Installation and function test of hatch covers for cargo holds including safeties, alarms and hose tests;

Sea trial machinery part (Endurance of Main Engine, Steering Gear test, TO Boiler, Fresh Water Generator test, Bow thruster, Black out and dead ship test, Anchor system Test, UMS test); Illumination and other systems such as Ballast system fire fighting system and remote tanks sounding are tested as well.

I performed a large variety of surveying work as mentioned above for several projects as follows:

Supervision of outfitting complete (cargo area including hatch covers, piping and electrical equipments of engine room and accommodation), commissioning of machinery and deck equipments, sea trials of two 900 TEU container vessels at Sainty Shipyard, Yangzhou-China (Feb.2008-March 2009);

Supervision of outfitting (complete cargo area including hatch covers, piping and electrical equipments of engine room piping and accommodation systems), commissioning of machinery and deck equipments, sea trials of two Multipurpose Heavy Cargo vessels 19100 dwt – 2x400/1x120 SWL cranes - at Qingshan Shipyard, Wuhan-China (March 2009-December 2010);

Supervision of outfitting (complete cargo area including hatch covers, piping and electrical equipments of engine room piping and accommodation systems), commissioning of machinery and deck equipments, sea trials of two Multipurpose Heavy Cargo vessels 20000 dwt – 2x700/1x180 SWL cranes - at Hudong Zhonghua Shipyard, Shanghai-China (December 2010-December 2011).
