Improving Our Odds Facilitator – EI Recipient Workshops
June-Aug 1994: College of North Atlantic (community), Fermeuse Campus, NL
Co-facilitated two 6-week workshops with clients facing loss of local fishing industry jobs. Provided career development counselling on an individual basis with workshop participants. Explored themes relating to new labour market realities and community economic activism and entrepreneurship. Many of these workshops were conducted all over the island of Newfoundland under the sponsorship of HRDC (EI and TAGS funding) from Government of Canada.
