Command Inspector General, CASCOM and Fort Lee, Virginia Aug 2013-Aug 2016

Advisor to the Commanding General on the state of economy, efficiency, discipline, morale, performance, training, and readiness of units and tenant agencies on Fort Lee.

Established the CASCOM Organizational Inspection Program using a Lean Six Sigma Project over a period of 9 months which resulted in synchronizing 59 inspection topics, established manager internal controls, and gave leaders the ability to review and improve internal processes within the command.

Conducted four large-scale investigative inquiries arising from complaints of favoritism, maltreatment and waste, fraud & abuse within CASCOM preserving the reputation and integrity of the command.

Executive Officer, 59th Ordnance Brigade Jul 2012-Jul 2013

Supervised day-to-day management of personnel, security, operations, and logistics support to the brigade to include budgeting, supply discipline, staffing, and personnel readiness of the brigade enabling the US Army Ordnance School to accomplish its mission of training the Army’s mechanics, repairmen, technicians, and ammunition handlers.

Responsible for $900 million of property and equipment.

Developed and executed a $1.4 million annual operating budget.

Served as the selecting official for hiring civilian employees.

Authored and managed the brigade’s community and local government relations program for Chesterfield County, Virginia.

Logistics Capability Developer, CASCOM, Fort Lee Oct 2010-Jun 2012

Integrated concepts, capabilities, equipment, and personnel into organizational designs for logistics units in the Army. Contributed to Force Management Reviews (FMR), Total Army Analysis (TAA), Force Integration and Functional Analysis (FIFA), and Force Design Updates (FDU).

Led CASCOM’s efforts in support of Total Army Analysis 2014-2018.

Lead staff officer for the Army Campaign Plan from CASCOM working to refine Army logistics capabilities. Developed three metrics that measured the Army’s ability to sustain its ‘core force’, support early entry operations, and optimize force structure.

Synchronized force design updates in support of the force design update cycle using Gantt charts and project management methodologies.

Executive Officer, 563rd Aviation Support Battalion May 2009-Sep 2010

Supervised the day-to-day administration of the battalion including command supply discipline, ground systems maintenance, personnel support, and communications across four subordinate companies totaling over 800 soldiers.

Supervised current operations, personnel accountability, resourcing for operations, and planning for future operations essential to the brigade’s completion of over 130,000 combat flight hours in Afghanistan.

Planned and supervised the battalion’s re-set which repaired, upgraded, and/or replaced over 200 wheeled vehicles, approximately 900 weapons, and thousands of individual pieces of equipment.

Built a new 40-person battalion staff from the ground up after the battalion returned to home station. This was instrumental in making the battalion ready to deploy again one year after returning home.

Support Operations Officer, 159th Combat Aviation Brigade Feb 2008-Apr 2009

Led the daily operation of nine separate and distinct logistics operations sections in support of the 159th Combat Aviation Brigade and its 1800 soldiers and 116 aircraft ensuring that the brigade was able to provide air support, cargo movement, and medical evacuation.

Orchestrated daily logistics support for the brigade as the Support Operations Officer deployed to Afghanistan.

Planned and supervised simultaneous logistics support for deployment training at White Sands, New Mexico and National Training Center, California while planning and preparing the 159th Combat Aviation Brigade’s actual deployment movement enabling the brigade to enter Afghanistan on time and ready to conduct operations.

Planned the fuel, ammunition, repair parts, and construction supplies support for an Army aviation task force made up of 30 aircraft and over 700 personnel at Forward Operating Base Shank in Afghanistan as US forces increased in 2009.

Managed 1.1 million gallons of fuel stored in Afghanistan and determined the amount of fuel needed to meet day to day needs. Set fuel stock levels based on statistical analysis reducing the frequency of shortages and giving better operational predictability to commanders.

Managed the amounts and locations of five major types of ammunition used in combat based on mission needs and aircraft composition ensuring the right munitions were always available in the right places at the right time.

Logistics Plans Officer, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Jul 2007-Jan 2008

Principal author of the division’s Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) deployment order and the division’s reception, staging, onward movement, and integration plans to move 10,000 of the division’s personnel into Afghanistan.

Co-developed the division’s logistics concept of support for both US and allied forces enabling the division to sustain combat operations in Afghanistan.
