I accomplished an externship at Labcorp. that lasted a week starting June 20, 2016 to June 24, 2016 from 8am-4pm. As a phlebotomist I made sure we received the correct information for each patient, collected the blood and urine samples, and made blood draws on patients using the proper equipment necessary for each patient. Following that, I labeled the samples and the patient's paperwork. Lastly placed the blood specimen in the right tray or centrifuge.
