JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Review and Approved Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) & Inspection and Test Procedure

Prepare Take Over Package (TOP).

Review all document dedicated to project like WPs, PQR, ITP, Welder Register, Client Spec, Drawing AFC Quality Procedure, Non Conformance Report (NCR), Punchlist, NDT Technician Document and Certification and other related document before applying to project and ensure all approved procedures are implemented on yard.

Prepare all document and consumable for welder test; test pieces material, welding consumable, welder ID, welding equipment, test position and qualification of the welder

Inspection for receiving material base on Material certificate, material spec, diameter thickness, length.

Inspection before welding, check for drawing AFC, welder register and WPS register, check preheat temperature, spool or material identification, check o of joint, welder qualified, bevel degree, misalignment, quiver temperature, argon content & oksigen analyzer, checking of electrode number, temperature interpass and travel speed during welding to be matched with procedure and drawing required and visual inspection after welding completed.

Request NDT to NDE company base on welding map and ITP after completed visual inspection.

Coordination with all NDT activities & QC Welding Inspector& QC Inspector

Witness and Review all NDT activity/ report and review radiography film base on requirement.

DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

WELDING INSPECTION

The main duties of Welding Inspector is (before, during and after welding) on onshore of Oil and Gas project for : power plant and steel structure.

General scope of work: material verification,welding preparation, visual, NDT, Hydro test, PWHT. Coating, mechanical and inspection checklist, Field Acceptance Test, Site Acceptance Test and Certification. However: also review vendor document such as WPS/PQR, Welder Qualification and NDT Procedure.

PIPING INSPECTION

Preparation documentation method (WPS, PQR and WPQT)

Material inspection (Experience in P10H, P8, P11, and P91)

Review qualified WPS and ITP, acceptance criteria base on client, available procedure, specification codes or standard, etc ASME IX and ASME B31.3

Review validation test equipment, inspection method and AFC drawing (Isometric) before fabrication started

Witnessed Welder qualification test and recorded

Check transferred heat number (material traceability) and cutting dimension

Inspection welding preparation, fit-up (orientation dimension cut length) proper material to be jointed, qualified welder to be welded, welding process and electrode to be used and recorded, monitoring welding parameter again to the approved WPS and filler metal check, interpass temperature, distortion appearance, inspection and visual inspection on weldment, dimension of spool, prepare for NDT request as per requirement

Monitoring welding repairs after tracing NDT defect sketch are given to production

Record completion of weld

STRUCTURE INSPECTION

Prepared and reviewed documentation, WPS and ITP acceptance criteria base on client specification code standard or approved (AWS D1.1) weld map and AFC drawing inspection material (Size, type and condition)

Transfer heat number and full traceability, welding parameter sequences to minimize distortion and drawing client requirement, inspection weld size, prepared NDT methods on structure joint, maintain all report with approved report form

Witnessed Welder qualification test and recorded

Inspection welding preparation, fit-up (orientation dimension cut length) proper material to be jointed, qualified welder to be welded, welding process and electrode to be used and recorded, monitoring welding parameter again to the approved WPS and filler metal check, interpasstemperature, distortion appearance, inspection and visual inspection on weldment, dimension of piecemark, prepare for NDT request as per requirement

Monitor and control welding inspector activity, planning welder based on project requirement

MECHANICAL QC INSPECTOR

Oversee receiving and installation inspection of rotating/static equipments

Coordinate with other structural/civil disciplines for foundations checking/leveling before installation

Witness/participate in equipment leveling/alignment works which includes both hot and cold alignments.

Review and sign-off the same. Verify fabrication fit-up, alignment and dimensional tolerances.

Witness/participate in mechanical equipment receiving inspection works upon receipt at site.

Ensure testing, measuring, welding and NDE equipment are fully calibrated

Monitor the use of welding consumables is per manufactures recommendations and full certification

Review welder qualifications certifications, and attend welder qualification

Monitor bolt torque tightening works where applicable and review the records
