Planned/managed several testing trips to Canada, Wyoming and Tucson to gather test data.

Established and trained personnel for the new Bucyrus Machine Testing Department.

Instructed the Test Group on several new concepts/procedures, which have been adopted throughout the corporation.

Successful temporary assignment to the Rapid LCP Group (approximately 80 people from different departments), tasked with identifying cost reduction opportunities in building large mining shovels, resulting in reducing costs by over a million dollars within 3 months.

TESTING ENGINEER/DEPARTMENT MANAGER, Terex Inc., Waverly Operations 1/2010-1/2011

Leading manufacturer of large-scale telescopic cranes.

Led a small team, comprised of 5 Testing Technicians tasked with executing all Testing Requirements for new machine designs.

Increased morale by 100%, forging a cohesive, high-performing team out of a previously mismanaged team of Test Technicians.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, Cemen Tech, Inc. 2/2009-8/2009

Manufacturer of volumetric concrete mixing machines, mobile and stationary.

Accountable for the design, management, testing and installation of machine fabrication improvements.

Managed the installation of the Dust Removal System on volumetric concrete machines.

Designed the elimination/containment of dangerous cement dust from the operator area for under $800/unit.

Prototyped a Slurry Type Cement Powder Water Pre-Mixer for volumetric concrete mixers, facilitating numerous advantages for the homogenous requirements of high quality concrete while reducing the need for additional steel or fiber reinforcements.

MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING MANAGER, Oceaneering International, Multiflex Division 2001-2008

Manufacturer of underwater control umbilicals for subsea oil wells.

Led numerous large-scale, multi-million design projects. Managed regular and temporary employees during plant commissioning, including Engineers and Designers, and supervised them under full production after commissioning, directed sub-contractors involved in facility improvements.

Managed construction of the manufacturing plant in Panama City, Fl., total cost $70 M.

Re-designed and managed sub-contractors to repair rails under two 200 ft. diameter, 5000-ton capacity process carousels to correct migrating rails (up to 14”) with a total project cost of $250K, saving a $60M profit margin project.

Managed a 90’ X 90’ category-3 hurricane rated retracting door replacement, contributing to the overall design and personally managing the installation to the Panama City plant, resulting in preventing equipment damage and potentially saving millions.

Built 6 mobile, height-adjustable, high-capacity umbilical rollers for product deployment with a project cost of $250K, resulting in revolutionizing movement of product from the plant to the delivery vessels with ongoing cost savings.

Contributed to the design, procurement and installation of a very large extruder crosshead (up to 14” diameter capacity), delivered within time constraints for a special project, resulting in cost savings over next closest competing vendor near $30K.

Collaborated with the manufacturer to re-work gear case of an extruder, resulting in cost savings associated with increasing production of melted MDPE plastic from 1500 to 5800 lbs/hr, and the line speed from 5 to 20 ft/min – a significant improvement when producing a 40-mile long umbilical.

Created a special habitat for termination of an umbilical with difficult design specifications and delivery schedule, resulted in building 2 units on time in just 3 months, within budget and a project cost of $500K, required for a $20M contract/job.

Hand-picked to join the “Production Time Reduction Team” by the Corporate Senior V.P. for a large-scale job that was originally underestimated for completion time. Provided leadership that resulted in estimated savings of over $500K.
