Evaluation and comparison of the results obtained in the production of Biodiesel from heterogeneous catalysts and homogeneous conventional, in order to determine the technological feasibility for more efficient production of biodiesel using the most suitable catalyst. As heterogeneous catalysts was chosen calcium oxide and quicklime (calcium oxide 85%). In both cases it was chosen to methanol and sunflower oil, as alcohol and fatty acid, respectively. Research was carried out by a batch type reactor.

On the obtained Biodiesel were performed chromatographic analysis of the content of fatty acid methyl esters, to concluded efficiency.
