Mark R. Wieber
Taft, California
I’m seeking employment in the Taft/ Bakersfield/Central Valley area. For the past 19 yrs Ive worked in So. Cal, Arizona and other states repairing, maintaining, setting up and selling various brands of machine tools and other machine shop related equipment. Everything from CNC lathes and mills to manual drills, conveyor equipment, air compressors both rotary and piston, and plant electrical. Low voltage to 480 3ph. VFD motor controls and some PLCs. Electric motor controls of many types.
I’ve taken empty buildings, set up all the electrical, air lines and compressors along with associated plumbing, laying it out, getting approvals, passing inspections, performed the work and moved entire companies in and got them into operation seamlessly.
I have a service truck and a service van, and complete sets of tools for each. Everything from standard hand tools through oscilloscopes, dvms and other electronic test equipment. Drill motors through porta bands and portable hydraulic presses and pullers. Stick welders through TIG welders, torches and plasma cutters. And I know how to use them efficiently and properly.
I’m very computer friendly and have been an advanced computer geek since the 1980s when I built my first Heathkit computer.
I ran my own company for most of those 18 yrs doing a multitude of services for my clients and it wasn’t until the economy started to fail in manufacturing here in California and my customers slowly, one at a time, went out of business..or moved out of the state, that I decided I needed to find something closer to my home in Taft and out of “mainstream” manufacturing. Manufacturing in California is failing and fading away, so its time to come back home and get a job in a parallel field.
I can indeed be an asset to your company with minimal training in most aspects of a techs job, just hand me a manual, give me the tech support number of your hardware companies and turn me loose.
If my skills can be useful to you, please give me a call and let’s set up a time for an interview. I have a large number of references, so feel free to ask for others besides the few on the short list at the bottom of my resume.
Thank you very much for you time
