Introduced a new advanced solid-state joining technology to the oil/gas, automotive, and aerospace industries that accomplished the following 2 items: 1) Successfully gained regulatory approval (ASME Section IX, Code Case No.2799); and 2) Sales and marketing strategy generated $30 million of immediate revenue in the first 12 months with a potential increase to >$84 million through a negotiated ROFR agreement.
Entrusted by a PE firm to turnaround a struggling shipyard with revenue dropping below $26 million after the Gulf of Mexico spill. Reorganized the business by formalizing and institutionalizing processes across all locations, entering new spaces, restructuring its debt, implemented an ISO accredited QMS, and improving the safety rating to <1.0 TRIR. Consequently, generating a sustainable business model that increased annual revenues to >$42 million at time of sale 2 years later.
Redesigned an underperforming product line, created a dedicated business unit, improved the execution strategy, and positioned the business unit to one now recognized as the industry’s “SYSTEM OF FIRST CHOICE” for offshore ultra-deepwater drilling.
Started a successful equipment manufacturing business as Owner/Managing Director, (Quality Oilfield Products, Inc.) which was sold 13 years later to a 'Fortune 500' company (Stewart and Stevenson Services, Inc.).
