Coordinator for emergency situations at the PPG Oak Creek facility including chemical spills, threats, fire, hazardous weather and personal trauma. Liaison between plant personnel on and off site, emergency squad, management, fire and / or police departments.
Monitor Honeywell and Simplex systems including alarm acknowledgement, testing, and notification of appropriately trained personnel in accordance with corresponding alarms to ensure the safety and well being of employee’s, visitors, and contractors.
Monitor / log carrier, contractor and all other traffic in and out of perimeter fencing ensuring all accessed personnel are properly safety orientated according to SOP. Monitor Card Access system ensuring all plant personnel card in /out upon entering and leaving the facility. Employee contact for absenteeism and responsible for notification of that absentee to that employee’s appropriate supervision.
Distribute safety supplies as needed to contractors and plant personnel. Distribute hourly payroll.
Receptionist duties, which include operation of, phone system, greeting visitors and informing plant personnel of visitor arrival. Weekend and off shift calls may include managing customer emergencies, carrier inquiries and handling community complaints.
Backup for Traffic personnel on weekends and off shifts including weighing of tankwagons and completion of any outbound paperwork. Ensure outbound loads leave with required certification, samples, and proper paperwork including customs invoices etc.
