November 1999 till date :- Egyptian Maintenance Company (EMC)

EMC is well known Maintenance and Modification Provider to major Oil, Gas and Petrochemical companies Pipelines and Refinery Operator and contractors all over Egypt.

EMC is a Joint Venture Company between Egypt General Petroleum Corporation & Aibel.

Aibel is leading supplier of Product, System and Services for Onshore & Offshore Drilling and Production, Project Management, Engineering, Procurement and Construction Services, process System and Equipment, maintenance, Modification and Operation.

1. From January 2000 till date

Position: QC engineer- Project engineer

Responsibilities Included:

LNG Spherical tanks inspection and integrity with capacity 1000,2400,4000 m3

12” crude oil under ground pipe line 16 KM length inspection using Long range ultrasonic inspection (LRUT).

Construction of two crude oil tanks 1000m3 capacity.

Client : General petroleum company (GPC).

Construction of 4 crude oil early production treating tanks capacity 100m3 and its attachment piping.

Client : Petrodara (joint venture company with trans globe ).

Maintenance of marine cranes.

Client : General petroleum company (GPC)

Activity include inspection on the steel structure base metal and welding, prepare and apply repair procedure for any defects found.

Fabrication of marine mooring.

Client : General petroleum company(GPC), Third party : Bureau Veritas (BV).

Activity include fabrication, welding .

Maintenance of crude oil tank capacity 408 m3 .

Activity include replace bottom, shell repair,roof repair.

Client : Petro Gulf oil company. Third party : Bureau Veritas (BV).

Installation of crude oil heater vapor separation and flare system .

Client : GPC general petroleum company.

Fabrication of crude oil heat exchanger piping connection 16",18" and apply the NDT on the welding joints and piping.

Client : Petrobel Petroleum company.

* Construct five 6" duplex gas well head skids as per Samsung specs. An applying the

NDT and hydro test for the skid.

* Fabrication and installation of cooling rings and nozzles arrangement for fire fighting and

Fire alarm system for crude oil tank.

Client : Khalda Petroleum Company.

*Apply inspection activities (ultrasonic, dye penetrate, magnetic particle, visual inspection) on frame bogies and axles of the Metro units to detect cracks and welding defects.

Prepare welding procedure for cracks repair and apply it on the steel frame including heat treatment and stress relieving.

Apply different welding process on the steel bogie frame and units body.

Fabrication of new steel bogies according to codes and standards and approved drawings.

Client- Cairo Metro

Fabrication of Hot Deep Galvanized Steel Poles, Stay Guide.

Fabrication of Stainless Steel Water / Foam Tank for Fire Fighting.

Pressurization System for Control Rooms located in 11 platforms.

Client – GUPCO

(Welding repair, Stainless steel fire rated doors assembly, Cable entry sealing).

Modification of direct Glycol Fired Heater at Alexandria (Meiadia).

Client – WEPCO

(Welding of UV Pipe on the Heater with the proper angle).

Overhaul Inspection of railway Specialized Steel Frame, using the following methods:

-Visual Inspection to detect cracks on the steel frame.

-Dye Penetrate Inspection Method on the Welding on the steel frame.

-Welding Repair to the cracked welding or base metal according to repair procedure.

-Welding Repair to the gear box casing (cast iron) according to repair procedure.

(Railway experience) Overhaul Inspection on railway Units Axle, using the following methods:

-Ultrasonic Inspection to detect longitudinal, transverse cracks.

-Magnetic particle Inspection to detect cracks.

-Prepare repair procedure for cracks and follow up repair process.

2. From July 2004 – December 2004

Position: Mechanical Engineer / Site Construction Engineer

Fabrication of Diesel Generator Package for Petrobel Company Platform (Temsah – Baltim Offshore Gas Field). A60 fire walls, Internal and External Piping.

Responsibilities Included:

Engineering fabrication of the frame in the workshop.

Sand blasting. Painting procedure.

Fabrication of the diesel tank for the package and piping.

Prepare of the Engineering documents according to ENI client specification.

Loading the shelter on the platform and tie it to the system.

3. From May 2002 – June 2004

Position: QC engineer – Crude Oil Terminal (SUMED – Alexandria)

Responsibilities Included:

Re-bottom of Tanks

Replacing Mechanical Seal for Floating Roof

Replacing of Curb Angle

Replacing Top Wind Girder

Carryout Inspection on Vortex Breaker

The above jobs required several activities such as:-

- Implementation of different (NDT) Non destructive test on welds (Dye Penetrate, Magnetic Particle, Radiographic, Vacuum Box, Leak Test).

- Prepare WPS (Welding Procedure Sheet) and PQR (Performance Qualification Record).

- Apply Hydro Test to the Tank after overhauling.

- Sand Blasting, Painting, Fiberglass Lining

SUMED – Alexandria is the Export Crude Oil Terminal with the biggest Tank Farm in Egypt.

- Tank capacity: 103,000 m3.

- Number of Tanks in Revamp Contract 9 : 17 M height, 88 M diameter, 30“ tie-in piping.

4. From December 2001 – May 2002

Position: Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities Included:

GE Turbine Preventive Maintenance at Ras Gharib Utility Plant.

Clients: General Petroleum Company - Egypt.

5. From November 1999 – November 2001

Position: Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities Included:

New part Maintenance Engineer for GUPCO Gas Plant (Hapy Gas Plant)

Predictive, preventive and Corrective Maintenance, Pumps (Reciprocating, Centrifugal, Diesel Engine, Valves & Piping).

Clients: GUPCO - Egypt.

May 1998 – October 1999 :- Deutche Babcock Energy Und Umwel Technick (AG)

Position: Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities Included:

Follow-up and Supervision of Fabrication of Boilers and Pressure Components, Fabrication of other pressure Vessels, major overhaul of Gas Turbine.

Piping Spools Fabrication [Manual Arc Welding, Metal Inert Gas (MIG), Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG), Submerged Arc Welding, Membrane Wall Welding].
