Deputy Operations Manager, Alaska Radar System Sep 07-1 Oct 14 In addition to the Airfield Manager duties described below, I was given the responsibility of overseeing 150+ company employees in all facets of remote radar site operations. This oversight included everything from the interview and hiring process to training, scheduling, and disciplinary up to and including dismissal. Areas of responsibility included site security, power production and distribution, water and wastewater systems, HVAC, facility repairs, housekeeping, cooking, and everything else needed to maintain and operate these remote sites. Also included was coordinating the requirements of 3 different unions, numerous contracts and agreements, and various government agencies such as OSHA, FAA, DoD, and Alaska DEC and DOT. In addition, I headed up a multi-disciplined team of people to plan, coordinate, and accomplish several million dollars annually in construction and repair contracts at these locations.
Airfield Manager, Alaska Radar System Nov 04-Mar 15
Supervised flight support operations of over 150 employees on 7 separate airports scattered across Alaska
Developed directives covering safety, security, aircraft support, and airfield maintenance
o Sources used were USAF directives and FAA 150-series Advisory Circulars
Implemented detailed site-specific Airport Inspection Checklists o Ensured equipment outages and other areas of concern were identified and appropriate action (repairs, NOTAMs, management notifications, etc) initiated o Ensured all actions requiring runway closures were properly coordinated and approved
