I have been a nurse for over 25 years which has enabled me to obtain a wide skill set. I have experience in Home Infusion, Home Health, Cath Lab, House Supervisor, and Critical Care. My goal is to obtain a position in which I can showcase my skills as well as obtaining new ones.

Experience

RN- Case Manager NPHC Nutritional and Parenteral Home Care September 2014 to August 2016

IV antibiotics, TPN, Inotropic medication, use of Bodyguard pumps, enteral bolus and pump. As a case manager I was responsible for educating patients on proper administration of home feedings. Also performed Remicade and IVIG infusions, weekly PICC line maintenance, weekly lab work, insertion of peripheral IV’s and port access. Rotated on call.

RN- Case Manager Gentiva Home Health October 2013 to September 2014

As a case manager I was responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care through the utilization of nursing assessment, diagnoses, and care plans. Informing the physician of changes in patient needs. Administration of medication and treatments. Evaluation of client home environment. Supervise care of client provided by others including LPN’s and CNA’s. Evaluate outcomes of care and implement discharge plans. Rotated on call

Cath Lab RN South Baldwin Regional Medical Center March 2010 to October 2013-

Responsibilities included assisting with angioplasties, stent placement, pacemaker and ICD insertion. Patient assessment and preparation. Administering conscious sedation and monitoring of patients VS and airway during procedure. Post procedure care and patient and family education.

House Supervisor Hendersonville Medical Center April 2008 to December 2009

Responsible for staffing of all nursing units. Addressing all patient and visitor complaints, and reporting complaints to proper administrative personnel. Attend, record and manage all in house code blue events and coordinate transfers as needed. Bed assignments for all ER and direct admissions. Arranging transfer of patients to other facilities as necessary. Coordinate after hour surgical procedures with physician and on call- OR staff. Team leader of rapid response team. Assist hospital personnel with any questions or concerns regarding patient care.

House Supervisor and RN- Critical Care Sumner Regional Medical Center October 2002 to April 2008

Worked part time in 14 bed ICU and part time House Supervisor. Total patient care including medication administration, IV insertion and maintenance, assisting with insertion of central line catheters, arterial lines, and endotracheal intubation. Maintaining ventilator, endotracheal suctioning and specimen collection, post arteriogram, and post- surgical care including dressing changes, wound care, CVP monitoring, glucose monitoring, VS monitoring and adjusting IV medication drips accordingly, telemetry, nursing assignments and charge role.
