Managing Director, Field Services, Joni and Friends 2001- 2011 Directing the development of new field offices and strengthening existing offices across the U.S. while establishing strategic partnerships and outreach programs to the disability community. Oversight and coordination of five departments. Grew U.S. field operations from 9 struggling field offices to 22 field and 60 strategic partners, affiliates and associates. Oversight of 63 employees and forty budgets collectively amounting to $7.8 million annually.

Foundations Department Director, Food For The Poor, Deerfield Beach, FL 2000-2001 One of the largest NGOs in the United States serving the poorest of the poor in the Caribbean and Central America. Doubled grant income first year. Developed and systematized grant development program. Over 80 per cent of grant applications approved.

Consulting secular non-profit conservation and sustainable development organizations, Christian aid and development organizations in fund raising, organizational, board and staff development, and in strategic planning and project development and management, annual planning and grant reviews. Executive Director, The Willapa Alliance, South Bend, WA 1994-1998 2

Moved from a fledgling organization with significant financial challenges and two employees and a budget of approximately $100,000 into a one of the most recognized and robust sustainable development non-profits in the Pacific Northwest. Developed and managed diverse board of thirteen directors, staff of seven, multiple contracts and contractors. Developed annual and strategic plans, annual reports; Pioneered numerous innovative conservation based development, community education, conflict resolution, community development and science projects. Worked collaboratively with over thirty diverse and at times opposing organizations and agencies. Under my direction and direct work raised $350,000 to over $1,000,000 per year; over 80 per cent of grant applications approved. Provided leadership and vision for what was called by numerous parties as one of the most meaningful community based sustainable development organizations in the Pacific Northwest. Received recognition for my work from the Vice President of the United States Al Gore, President’s Council on Sustainable Development, NW Policy Center, Sustainable Northwest (Founders of a New Northwest award), American Forests, Christian Environmental Council, and the National Religious Partnership for the Environment. In 1997 given the “Founder of A New Northwest” award by Sustainable Northwest and Cecil Andrus, former Governor of Idaho and former Secretary of the Interior.

Pacific County Commissioner, South Bend, WA 1984-1990 As the highest elected official in Pacific County, Washington, wrote county legislation, served as a judge in land use and community health cases, lobbied state legislators, U.S. Representatives, and U.S. Senators. Oversaw staff of 101 and $12 million dollar budget. Developed various land use programs and projects including the Pacific County Dunes Management Plan, the Pacific County Flood Control (water management) Program, amending the County Shorelines Master Program, Comprehensive Land Use Plan, and the County Zoning Ordinance.
