PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

HEALTHSPAN (FORMERLY KAISER PERMANENTE) 2005-2016

MANAGER PHARMACY SYSTEM AND SUPPORT 2015-2016

Promotion to manage the Pharmacy system department and manage the closure of the Healthspan pharmacies after the company dissolved.

•Coordinated the transfer patient records with McKesson and vendors that took over the prescriptions. Completed process in 3 months.

•Worked with the vendors to redirect pharmacy IVR and web ordering with little impact on the patients.

PHARMACY SYSTEM COORDINATOR II 2009-2015

Promotion to manage the pharmacy systems’ access control, maintenance, upgrades, releases, and troubleshoot issues. Worked with vendors to accomplish these requirements. This involved PIMS (dispensing system) Enterprise, POS, IVR and web prescription ordering system. Worked with other IT teams within the organization to ensure efficient communication between systems.

•Lead to replace legacy PIMS dispensing system with McKesson Enterprise. Required quick transfer to new system. Tested, configured and trained staff of 200 within 18 months.

•Configured the requirements for State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy requirements within the Enterprise system in less than 1 year.

•the Ohio Automated Rx Reporting requirements and continued to monitor the required daily reporting.

• different security levels required for different employee roles. Required 7 different security levels and 200 users to be added to the system.

•Supported end users with Enterprise after go-live. Initially had an open conference line for first 6 weeks to assist end users with new system. Continued support using a ticketing system.

•Maintain the prescriber database within Enterprise. Validated 10,000+ providers in the system and continued maintenance on new providers as needed.

•Designed and maintained a pharmacy webpage that was used solely by the pharmacy staff. Reorganized the old pharmacy webpage in 3 months and continued maintenance as needed.

•Prior to new system, led a team to test and implement Electronic Refill Authorization Request (ERAR) between PIMS and EPIC. Required communication between the two systems with accurate information. Completed the project within 14 months and reduced patients wait time for prescription by an average of 3 days.

•Lead for writing test scenarios for UAT as well as regression testing on multiple projects.

PHARMACY SYSTEM SUPPORT SPECIALIST (2005-2009)

First line of support for the end users.

•Troubleshoot and solve system issues for the pharmacy staff within a 4 hour timeframe. Send to second level support if unable to solve. Follow up with staff member to ensure solution was found.

•Train new hires all end users when changes occurred within the systems. Assisted with some testing and implementation.
