Ken Kupersmith – Bio
Ken Kupersmith is a proven leader in new business development. Across many start-ups, Ken has implemented and grown sales and marketing, alliance partnerships, operations, finance and program management. Ken has transformed an organization’s challenges into rewarding business opportunities.
At Clinical Communications starting in the 1990s, Ken prioritized the strategies and tactics that enabled growth from 2 to 165 employees and an exit enterprise value of $108 million. CCG created educational programs that accelerated pharmaceutical sales. Ken’s top 5 accomplishments were: a sustained organizational growth strategy and implementation of sales tactics which included diverse product line expansions; crafting the exit strategy; creating and implementing the operations, systems, financial controls and reporting necessary to manage the growing business; raising $30 million from private equity and installing a $50 million credit facility; hiring and mentoring senior staff with a strong focus on the sales and customer service departments.
At SimuLearn in the 2000s, Ken led his team to create a simulation role-play for an immersive leadership training experience. The Virtual Leader program was recognized as the Best Online Program of the year by the ASTD (now ATD) and adopted by the Center for Army Leadership. Ken also led the sales and marketing effort, including direct sales to over 150 universities, 50 of the Fortune 1000, and 5 translated international versions.
At Good Works Health in the 2010s, Ken helped create a marketing exchange that enabled health care professionals to direct pharmaceutical funds to any designated charity by participating in promotional educational programs. Ken’s leadership of the sales and marketing effort won placement of the platform at leading pharmaceutical firms.
Ken is currently a strategic consultant for business development and product line enhancement at Pharmacom Group, a provider of educational programs for health care practitioners.
An MBA from Southern Methodist University and a BA from Boston College complement Ken’s career experience.
