Brief description of the project

HR is currently operating in the original SAP environment, installed in 2001. In order to meet business needs, the functionality has been customized due to limits in SAP standard functionality. The business processes currently supported by SAP are functional; however, the level of customization makes it challenging to react quickly to changes (i.e. changes triggered by reorganization or acquisition).

In addition, data maintenance is centralized in the HR Direct organization, where existing processes require a significant level of manual intervention and hand-offs. Applications are not integrated resulting in dual data entry; an example is our support tool for work flow and case management is not integrated with SAP - so we gather the information then manually input it into SAP. In addition, the current version of SAP is out of SAP support. Solution to this is to move to SAP ECC 6.0 system
