GRADUATE COURSE PROJECTS

Multi-room Real-time Chat Application –Web App January 2016-May 2016

Developed a cross-platform real time chat room where users can login using their Facebook/Twitter accounts and create chat rooms of their choice. Multiple users can access and participate in the chatrooms. Integrated Cloudinary CDN services to the client so that the users can upload images to the chatrooms. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, MongoDB, JSON, Node.js, Express is the technology stack used.

Android Weather Application August, 2015-December 2015

Developed the app which provides the weather information of any city the user enters. Designed the UI in Android Studio Platform using XML scripts. JSON is used to extract the data from the open weather map API.

Camera Application With Facial Detection Feature January 2015-May 2015

Built the application using OPEN-CV tool and Java-Multithreading technique to detect the web-cam hardware attached to the computer device and trigger the camera functionality with the Facial-Detection feature. The application enables the user to capture pictures and store in the device and also toggle between all the web-cams attached to the computer. UI is designed using Java AWT and Swing libraries.

Simulation Based Comparison Of TCP New-Reno and TCP-SACK January 2015-May 2015

Comparative study of TCP Congestion Control algorithms TCP New-Reno and TCP-SACK was implemented in Network Simulator 2(NS-2) tool using TCL and analyzed the packet loss behavior during network congestion. Network Animator and X-graph were used for reporting. Concluded that New Reno performs as well as SACK at low packet error rates, and substantially outperforms Reno at high error rates.

Combinatorial Optimization of the Drum Scheduling Algorithm August, 2014-December 2014

Designed and Implemented the drum scheduling algorithm using simulated annealing technique and achieved the optimal latency by avoiding the local minima. Implemented in Eclipse IDE using Java Collections Framework(JCF).

WORK EXPERIENCE

Software Engineer-Tata Group(TCS), India August 2011-November 2012

Worked as Production Support Executive in Order Management System team for client Talk Talk Group-London and also trained a team of 4 on Java EE-based CRM module. Delivered reliable and stable fixes for processes involving customer financial transactions, modifying and cancelling the existing transaction, by developing SQL scripts in Oracle SQL Developer IDE and Unix platform. Performed tests on the developed fixes and merge in to code base by adopting Scrum-Agile methodology and achieved reduction in the defects reported.
