I’ve had several articles published in various media formats across the state.
Increased social media awareness by 50% by implementing a plan that insured press releases were added to the Tennessee National Guard social media platforms.
Led project to upgrade and update the Tennessee National Guard internal web page to increase functionality and ease of use.

Deputy Human Resource Officer, September 2013-December 2015
Developed manpower goals for the Commissioner of the TN Military Department. Selected by the Chief of Staff to provide input for managing the careers of over 1,500 military department employees and over 9,000 traditional soldiers.
I executed a 65 million dollar budget that covered employee pay, training and travel. I spent all federal funds legally and in accordance with law, rules and policy.
Led a planning team that successfully implemented 11% reduction to full time staffing due to federal budget cuts without any degradation of operations. The plan supported promoting a number of employees during this time which improved moral and allowed employee’s stability.
Directed a staff of HR professionals that provided benefits, labor relations, staffing, and equal opportunity for the 1,500 full time employees of the Tennessee National Guard
Chief Operating Officer, Regional Training Institute, July 2010-September 2013
I was Chief Operating Officer for a military education institution. I directed plans, programs and policy for the full time staff to insure adherence to all course management plans.
I mentored and developed the next generation of leaders by commissioning over 30 new leaders for the Tennessee Army National Guard.
Achieved “Learning Institution of Excellence” from Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) twice under my direction, the only organization (National Guard and Active Component) to achieve this very high distinction.
I was handpicked to brief senior leaders across the nation as well as the commissioner of the military department to provide the best practices of how we twice obtained the Learning Institution of Excellence.
Director of Family Programs, July 2008 – July 2010
Chief Operating Officer for the family readiness program with responsibility of a seven million dollar budget. Provided technical policy guidance to senior leaders and the commissioner of the military department on all family program matters.
I had significant interaction and established partnerships with numerous state, federal and volunteer agencies regarding outreach programs for military families.
While directing the program, I doubled the staffing while initiating new federally funded programs. These programs included contract employees, federally funded civilian positions and full time military personnel.
I established a leading edge council of mental health resources for soldiers and family members by coordinating efforts with military chaplains, faith based organizations, licensed clinical social worker and psychological health professionals during an unprecedented number of deployments.
Chief Information Officer, Information Technology, August 2004-July 2008
Operated in a variety of senior management positions in the IT branch of the military department, culminating with a promotion to chief executive of IT for the Tennessee Army National Guard.
Managed a five million dollar budget supporting over three thousand end users. I coordinated with Fortune 500 companies such as Verizon, AT&T, Cisco, Dell and Toshiba on a daily basis for products and services.
Developed and implemented plans for a nine-hundred and fifty thousand dollar contract for new frame relay service for TN National Guard computer network.
I saved over half million dollars by conducting an analysis of existing circuits, toll free numbers, calling cards and cell phone requirements and determined that they were no longer needed.
