QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY

Mechanical technologist with a comprehensive knowledge and experience with most electro mechanical processes and systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fabrication, maintenance, and automotive power train. Demonstrated ability to blend my engineering education with hands on experience to facilitate expedient solutions to complex problems, or modify existing processes to meet specific needs. AREAS OF COMPETENCY

● Mechanical systems as well as pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, blowers, and electrical

● Metal fabrication, structural assembly, metal forming

• Working knowledge of PLC’s, PID controllers, variable speed AC motor drives

● Blueprint reading, ability to work to close tolerances, and use of precision measuring tools

● A WS Certified welder (MIG and FCAW vertical and horizontal positions)

● Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts, and have completed 5s training.

● Capable of electrical installation, and troubleshooting of equipment. Installation of 120V single to

480V 3 phase service wiring and motors, and low voltage control systems

● Industrial equipment (metalworking machinery, CNC and manual mills and lathes, press brakes,

shears, and CNC plasma/torch cutting table)

● Experience in building maintenance and systems, steam boilers, HVAC, air compressors, waste

water treatment, air handlers, conveyors/lifts/material transport, structure and grounds

● Rigging and operation of cranes and various other lifting equipment

● Licensed forklift operator, and have experience operating most forms of heavy equipment

● AutoCAD, Pro/Engineer, FeatureCam, CNC programming, and MS Office

● HAZWOPER certified

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

• Proposed and implemented several automated technologies to resolve production problems selected appropriate machinery, including sourcing and evaluation of used local machinery Installed and setup new equipment in production line.

• Led investigation to find cause/solution of an increasingly high rate of rejected/defective subassemblies. Root cause analysis determined worn fixtures/jigs, used to locate parts for machining operations. After rebuilding and redesigning fixtures, rejected parts were nearly eliminated.

• Implemented machinery maintenance and inspection program which led to a dramatic reduction in equipment failures, that had frequently caused production and delivery delays.

• Expedited R&D processes by reducing amount of work company outsourced to 3rd parties for machining and welding operations resulting in lower costs, faster turnaround times, and better results.

• Participated in the design and planning of new production layout of 100,000 plus square foot manufacturing facility Responsible for machinery breakdown and loading of tractor trailers with a variety of large metal working machinery, many of these machines were in excess of 50,000 lbs. Installation and startup of all machinery at new location.

• Took part in insulation and air sealing of 20,000 square foot warehouse and production facility. Entire structure was sheathed internally with 2 inch rigid foam board and all cavities were sealed with two part expanding polyurethane foam. Result was dramatic reduction in utility cost for facility.
