Conduct audit, mechanical test inspection and prepare technical comprehensive report and recommendations pertaining to Twin-Anode Casting Wheel and auxiliary equipment to include servomotor and mechanical drive, wheel alignment, mold surface and alignment, wheel speed acceleration and deceleration, tilting ladle speed, mold and anode cooling water system, anode take-off device and cooling tanks, mold coating equipment and cooling water facility.

Plans and implements the overall department KPI's, including Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental compliance are of optimum and within budget levels on the operation of copper flash smelting plant on the production of copper and recovery of waste heat gas for steam generation and sulphuric acid production.
Confirm and approves arrival schedules with port operations on unloading, transfer and storage from port vessel unto corresponding storage areas and stockyards of bulk raw materials shipment such as copper concentrates of different copper grades, coal, silica sand, silica quartz, other bulk copper materials.
Verify chemical assays of raw materials such as; Cu, S, Fe, Si, Ag, Au and other impurities, dry weight tonnage, moisture content based on shipping document and actual in-house assays.
Ensures all material handling facility from port deck to storage houses, to blending bins and finally unto flash smelter such as; the unloader crane, mobile hopper, belt conveying systems including magnetic separators, vibrating screens, dynamic weighers, stackers/trippers, bin blending system, steam dryers, dust collection system and pneumatic conveying systems are in good operating condition at all times; Ensure routine inspection, monitoring and preventive maintenance servicing are followed according to operating manuals and maintenance servicing schedules, respectively.
Review and approves raw materials storage plan for copper concentrates, coal, silica sand, silica quartz, dust recoveries and other in-house material returns in the storage houses/stockyards are optimized with minimal material loss.
Ensure all mobile equipments assign in storage houses are in good operating condition to continuously optimize storage spaces during raw materials unloading. Mobilize additional mobile equipment and manpower in case parallel unloading/transfer/storage of raw materials from port area is necessary.
Review/Approves preventive and corrective maintenance schedules of all raw materials handling equipment including all mobile equipments such as front-end loaders, dump trucks, backhoes, steer-loaders, forklifts and mobile vacuum trucks.
Review and approves copper concentrate blending plan based on copper production budget with process and technical team.
Ensure copper concentrate feed and copper matte production are within budget levels or better such as: ton/day, matte grade %Cu, S, Fe, Fe/SiO2, Fe3O4, % Cu loss in slag and SO2 gas concentration, steam generation and appropriate action plan are proactively acted upon in case of deviation.
Review and ensure process equipment and parameters such as: 1. cooling water system; (Si, Fe content, water hardness, temperatures, are within specified levels, all cooling towers/fan, pumps, head tanks and emergency back-up systems, instrumentations are working properly and tested regularly. 2. All flue gas cleaning and sulphur dioxide gas recovery facility, dust collection systems, waste heat boilers and all piping/valve train systems are in good operating condition and are inspected/monitored and serviced regularly. 3. All process air fans, exhaust fans, air blowers, air, compressors, oil-heating/burner facility are regularly inspected, monitored, tested and serviced regularly to ensure continuous operation and minimize downtime.
Ensure that OpEx are in budget levels in terms of unit consumption per metric-ton concentrate feed such as; power, fuel, water, coal, silica, manhours/labor cost, and other raw materials.

Plans and implements the overall department objectives, production targets, Opex and Capex budget, product quality, equipment availability, health, safety and environmental compliance on copper refining and casting operations on the production of refined copper anode.
Coordinates with port operations on schedule arrival, unloading and transfer of raw materials such as; high grade copper scraps, copper blister blocks, reject copper cathodes and anodes and copper nodules for recycling in anode furnace. Receive and confirm material assay with in-house laboratory analysis such as: %Cu grade and other impurities to program the recycling rate consumption in anode furnace.
Coordinates with port operations on schedules of hauling, transfer and loading of product for- sale refined cast anodes for shipment. Ensure correct weights are recorded, passed chemical and physical quality inspection, barcoded and bundled according to batch and production lot number. Mobilize forklifts and flat-bed trucks for the transfer and loading to port vessel.
Review and ensure all process parameters on anode furnace refining and copper casting operations and the quality of cast anodes are followed and within process limits such as: %Cu, %S, %O2 and other impurities, molten temperatures, weights, dimensions, furnace temperatures, oil firing rate, cooling water flow rate and temperatures, mold coating amount and densities, combustion and process air flow rates, LPG flow rates, furnace draft pressures, oil heaters and LPG vaporizers steam pressures and flow rates.
Monitor the furnace inside refractory conditions through regular visual inspection and conduct thermograph scanning for early detection of hotspots on furnace barrel and proactively implement action plans to mitigate risks and increase furnace integrity.
Monitor the material supplies and operating consumables usage and maintains safe stock inventory, such as; castables, refractory cement, firebricks, graphite powder, sodium silicate, barium sulphate (barite powder), thrust rods, scum hooks, disposable thermocouples, sampling spoons, hydraulic fluid, heavy fuel oil, industrial diesel and LPG. Initiates and approves purchase requisitions to replenish supplies regularly.
Ensure that OpEx are in budget levels in terms of unit consumption per metric-ton of cast anode such as; power, bunker, diesel, LPG, water, firebricks, castables, graphite powder, barite powder, thermocouples, manhours/labor and other raw materials.

Primary Job Function:
Oversees and coordinates the whole plant operations (Material Handling and Storage, Smelter, Power Plant, Acid Plant, Oxygen Plant, Slag Milling and Flotation Plant, Refinery, Port Operations and Maintenance Division) and ensures continuous plant operation during night shifts, week-ends and holidays.
Assumes the roles and responsibilities of the respective department heads in production and maintenance operations during out-of-office; on leaves, rest days, holidays or official business.
Ensures that bulk raw materials handling such as unloading copper concentrates, coal, silica, copper scraps and other materials from port vessels are on schedules and generate shift reports accordingly.
Proactively carry-out action plans to mitigate shipment delays in case of material handling equipment downtime. Closely coordinate with storage houses/stockyard in-charge on the implementation of approved bulk raw material storage plans.
Ensures the personnel and equipment safety during loading of Sulfuric Acid by-product from main acid storage tanks to port vessels. Routine checks of pipeline, valve train and transfer pumps should be carried prior transfer; and wearing of protective equipment suits are strictly observed among personnel assigned. Generate acid loading report accordingly.
Ensures shipment and loading to port vessels of copper cathode, refined copper anode, iron concentrates, granulated slag and selenium powder are within approved schedules and properly documented. Generate product loading report accordingly.
Maintains close coordination with Flash Furnace, Converter Furnace, Anode Furnace/Casting, Refinery and other auxiliary/utility departments (Powerplant, Acidplant, Crushing/Milling/Flotation Plant) to have on time copper production with emphasis on minimize downtime and according to approved daily production plan,

Conduct routine inspection/monitoring/control of the following: Converter Furnaces, Waste Heat Recovery Boilers/Steam Drums/Piping/Pumps, Material Handling Equipments to include conveyors, magnetic separators, dynamic weighers, vibrating screens and storage bins; Cooling Towers, water head tanks, water pumps and piping system; Oil Storage / Pump Stations; Gas/Dust Collection Facility; exhaust fans, boilers and rapping devices, electrostatic precipitators, bag-filters and gas ducts; Air Compressors; Air Blowers; Overhead Cranes; Slag Cooling Bed; and Mobile Equipment; forklift, front-end loader, excavator, breakers, shovel dozer.
Mobilize operators and equipment during raw material transfer and replenishment from storage houses to storage bins such as silica quartz, copper reverts, silica sand, white metal and copper concentrates and other copper bearing materials.
Carry-out simple preventive maintenance such as cleaning, greasing and oiling of equipment in-charge in regular shift basis with operator and technician associates.
Execute periodic maintenance activities during Plant Turn Around in furnace cleaning and rebuilding; cleaning of waste heat boilers, electrostatic precipitators, gas ducts, exhaust fans; cooling towers and water tanks, etc.
Conduct tool box, job safety analysis and risk assessment to work parties involve including operators, technicians and contractors to discuss potential hazards and controls in place.
Implement and monitor action plans to reduce metals inventory, minimize copper loss and increase furnace yield.
Coordinates with maintenance groups in the planning, scheduling and implementation of maintenance programs of all fixed and mobile equipment.
Monitors equipment and process parameters such as process air flow rate and pressures, furnace and metal temperatures, oil-air heating flow rates, power-oil-water consumption, and copper blister product quality on %Cu grade, %S, %Fe/SiO2, %Fe3O4 and other impurities content are consistently achieved according to specifications, cost and quality standards; and to ensure that production targets and schedules
