Square Mech Engineers

As an independent consultant focused on production and sales, played the role of COO of Square Mech Engineers. Manufacturing of Auto components Products Division.In Square Mech Engineers made a series of strategic mis-steps, principally a foray into wide-body operations and direct competition with the local and export and labour traffic. In the COO role, fully delivered on the owners’ mandate to drive an operational turnaround while reducing cash-burn, and led the development of a comprehensive new strategy and business plan. Cash-burn reduced 30%, on-time up to 87% from <50%, dramatic improvement in staff and customer feedback. New business plan included an entirely new, “clean sheet of paper” brand, network, and production plan. Implemented a controlled, voluntary suspension of operations in order to complete the re-structuring in anticipation of a re-launch with new brand and business plan with fresh funding.

Head of entire Business Operations including Strategic Directions, Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Business Development, Sourcing, Technology, Quality, R&D/ New Product Development, IT, General admin, Supply Chain & HR .

Pivotal in handling overall responsibility of Profit & Loss from a modest turnover taken it to 340 Cr. Essayed a stellar role in developing master plan of company and getting it approved through Board. Project Completion Stage and Setting up State of Art New Plant from origin of idea to completion stage with capacities 10 times higher than existing plants and modernization of Existing Plants.

Played a vital role in planning and executing Capex & Budgets Structured and implemented " 5s and kaizan Lean Manufacturing" which resulted in enhancing productivity of Plants Introduced modern manufacturing techniques which reduced 25% cost and decreased 30% manufacturing cycle time.
