I am able to tackle both the corporate and production side of the business and I am currently seeking to advance my career with a growing company in the Oil and Gas or aerospace sector.

Work Experience

HMT Tank (04/15 – Present)

Global Quality Manager

As the Global Quality Manager I am responsible for multiple sites throughout various company locations both stateside and globally.

I currently have a team of 18 Quality Managers in machining facilities and tank assembling operations as well as repair operations. This is both a corporate and direct oversight position where I utilize my mechanical engineering background and quality expertise.

I am responsible for safety training and contract review for the various sites globally and for multiple company sites where we service customers directly.

Refine and develop new training procedures for current and new company employees as they are added to the organization.

Develop, implement and maintain the QMS system to remain compliant with ISO, API, and AS certification standards for both material and assembly practices.

Work with both Vendors and internal departments to manage and reduce the amount of CARS, SCARS, and LOA’s

Work with upper management on quality related procedures, processes, records management to ensure that all changes/new documents are implemented and controlled per ISO 9001/2008 and API Q6 and AS9100, 9110, 9120 directives and standards.

Administrator of all Global Quality records and events for HMT Tank including all global customer audits and recertification events.

Work to train and certify welders in all relative standards pertaining to NDT certifications and requirements on all new and repair weldments on tanks and pertaining products.

Extensive experience with ASME, ASTM standards, PED standards and pressure directives pertaining to 2011/99/EU directive and standards.

LEAM Drilling (10/11 – 04/15)

Global QA/QC Manager

As the Global Quality Manager I was responsible for multiple sites throughout various company locations.

Lead a team of 10 as the Quality Manager in both a machining facility and drilling operations. This is both a corporate and direct function position where I utilize my mechanical background and quality expertise through full life cycle production.

I was responsible for safety training for multiple company sites including land rig sites where we serviced customers directly.

Refined and developed new training procedures for current and new company employees as they were added to the organization.

Developed, implemented and maintained the QMS compliant with ISO and API certification standards

Worked to reduce both Vendors and internal departmental CARS, SCARS, and LOA’s

Work with upper management on quality related procedures, processes, records management to ensure that all changes/new documents are implemented and controlled per ISO 9001/2008 and API Q6.

Administrator of all Global Quality records and events for LEAM Drilling Systems including all global customer audits and recertification’s

Managed all NDT testing and certification’s

Expertise in the use of wire line equipment and MWD tools.

Created all of the documentation for full inspection on products and assemblies, as well as ensure that our standards line up with all of our companies policies.

Qualified orders prior to shipment and certified them for shipment to the customer.

Use of Six Sigma design principles for LEAN manufacturing in the build and design of power sections for mud motor applications.

Creating training guidelines for the quality department to stay compliant for ISO and API standards.

Manage internal and external audits compliant with ISO standards.

Writing new procedures to meet customer demands as the need arises or as the drilling applications change

Performed audits on existing vendors and qualification audits on new vendors looking to be added to the AVL.

I was responsible for managing all new projects and developing cross training to ensure all employees are able to be interchangeable in their job duties.

I can read all mechanical prints and weld maps. I have also been involved in the development of new AUTOCAD prints due to my past experience of using AUTOCAD and Illustrator.

TSC Offshore (1/10 - 10/11) *contract

QA/QC Manager

Responsibility for a team of 8 including supervisors, engineers, and inspectors who oversaw all quality issues from the planning phases through production.

Product experience with cranes, hydraulics, gaskets, mud pumps, BOP units and HPU mechanisms.

Ensured that all products were standardized and interchangeable with other applications that were currently being used and developed as well as those currently used in the field.

Implemented Quality Procedures compliant to ISO certification standards 9001/2008 through full production.

Conduct Internal and External Audits for API and ISO

Extensive experience with ASME standards, PED standards and pressure directives, 2011/99/EU directive and standards. TS16949 directives and standards.

Developed and over saw all quality documentation and reports for both Upper Management and Customers.

Supervised all the testing of the various manufactured assemblies which included conducting FAT testing along with special function testing, Hydraulic testing, and Welding certification on all new assemblies.

L&S Cryogenics (10/09 - 1/10) *contract

QA/QC Manager

Coincided with shop managers to maintain the quality on all new manufactured assemblies that were sold to our customers to be used in the in the oil field; specifically used for drilling applications.

Maintained the reports and for both my company and our customers such as new product testing, all material certifications and final FAT’s.

Internal, external and supplier auditing compliant with ISO and API

Utilized Six Sigma knowledge improving full plant layout and production.

I also drafted in AUTO CAD/Solid Works, made Machine prints and read them as well.

FMC Technologies (01/08 – 10/09) *contract

Mechanical Engineering Manager

Responsible for designing the piping connections between valves and other customer supplied connections.

Worked hand in hand with the quality department to maintain the overall quality and measurements on all new material and machined products manufactured.

Fully managed the work flow between design and production.

Oversaw quality documentation compliant with ISO.

I was also responsible for maintaining all reports, FAT’s and final engineering specs for both my company and for the customers.

General Motors (5/94 - 1/08)

Quality Manager

Managed an 18 person Quality team including engineers, supervisors, inspectors, technicians with full responsibility of ensuring our products met ISO 9001 certifications for Manufacturing.

Led a 14 member team that had oversight in all phases of new product development, design and implementation of design changes on new products.

Implemented LEAN and Six Sigma tools through full production cycle to improve the Quality of the overall product.

I have worked with TS 16949 and PPAP and FMEA on various levels with outside vendors and inside assigned General Motors parts producers to ensure the quality of incoming parts for both boundary samples and production parts

I was responsible for all the production records and reports for both my Team/Division.

I was responsible for working with many cross teams throughout my facility and North American Operations (NAO) for Oldsmobile and Cadillac divisions in new product development.

I was responsible for implementing and testing new processes and assemblies as they were being developed through the Global Quality System (GQS).

I was responsible for qualifying new boundary samples when design changes were implemented.

I was responsible for conducting vendor audits and qualifying new product before presenting them to upper management.

Worked with upper plant management to develop new strategies for Lean processes and TAKS time in the work place.

I am current in all ISO certifications for manufacturing and engineering through a highly complex machining and fabrication facility.

Working with only new product/product lines for the Cadillac Division for General Motors/Cadillac Lansing.

Responsible for inspection team who ensured that all new parts and materials pertaining to underbody and design on rear wheel drive/four wheel/all-wheel drive systems were produced to company standards and AASHTO.

I have also been on numerous CTC teams in charge of work flow operations.
