I provided transformational cultural change leadership to the Plattsburgh operation by working outside of the traditional HR mold. My core responsibility was to help this site improve operational capacity and safety. I took on the following roles in addition to my HR Manager role during my tenure: Safety Manager, Interim Plant Director, Co-Production Manager, Lean/Gemba Coach and Public Liaison. I routinely mobilized and developed team members from various departments to focus on key operational objectives and goals. As the TLBO/Gemba Coach I took a deep dive into the business by implementing Lean Manufacturing principles/processes/tools with the Manufacturing team including: standard work/agendas from Plant Director level through Team Leader, created value stream maps, coached all operation teams on the development of visual management, audited 6S activities throughout the site, lead and participated in Kaisen events, trained and coached employees/leaders on A3 structured problem solving, and monitored the quality of A3s developed on a site level. Based on my knowledge, skills, and abilities I was fully integrated and involved with all facets of the business and stepped up repeatedly to support and manage projects that lead to significant improvements to the operation.
