Project Experience

Merrick & Company – Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineer III.

(April 2015 to Sept 2015)

Cool Planet (Biofuels Project). Responsible for the design of electrical and control systems including 12.4kv, 480v one-line diagrams, VFDs, Soft starter, Breakers sizing, Control Schematics, 480V Switch gears/MCCs, 12.4 kv Switch box, 2000 kva Transformer, Electrical room design, Grounding and Electrical location plan drawings, Electrical load list, Panel design Short circuit/Load flow calculations with ETAP, Generating new electrical specification.

TVA Power plant Project. Responsible for Dust collector and Sump pumps control Schematics, Modifying one-line diagrams, Soft starter, Breakers sizing, Short circuit/Load flow calculations with ETAP, Electrical plan drawings.

Cherokee Gas Project (Excel Metering station), Anadarko Header Project, Whiting Petroleum Corp. 3000HP Compressors Station (Robinson Lake expansion)

Responsible for the design of the electrical and control systems for the projects included 24.9/4.16kv, 480v One-line diagrams, VFDs, 4000 HP Soft starter, breakers and Control schematics. Aurora Gold Project (Guyana). Responsible for the design of the electrical and control systems for a 20MW Power plant which included five Caterpillar diesel engine generators, switchgear, substations, MCCs and one-Line diagrams for feasibility study.

G.E Oil & Gas Treatment & Disposal Project (P.W). Responsible for the design of the electrical and control system which included the design of the following; MCCs, one-line diagrams, control panels, grounding, lighting plan drawings and 400 hp VFDs, generators, ATS, sizing power cables and transformers, GE PLC, INST/CONT Panel Design, I/O List (Class 1, Div 1 & 2).

CH2MHILL Assignment.(Climax Mining Project) Responsible for the checking and modification of the high /medium and low voltage power systems such as 115kv substation transformers, one-line, three-line diagrams, electrical facility drawings, 115kv breakers, SEL-387A, SEL-587Z, SEL-751, SEL-551 relays, MCCs, switchgear, VFDs, soft starters, generators, ATS, grounding, lighting, tray system, P&IDs (specification checking included).

Bigrams Air Force Base WTP,US Army Base Corp of Engineers Project,(Afghanistan) Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer. Responsible for the, medium and low voltage electrical(substation) and instrumentation system design which included MCCs, switchgear, substation transformers, one-line diagram, P&ID, grounding, lighting, plan drawings, and stand by generator design. In addition, specification, and load analysis.

McArthur River WTP, Electrical Engineer. Responsible for the design of the electrical systems for the project. Design included the following: 13.8KV, 4160V, 460V power distribution, one-line diagrams for 750 HP VFDs, 700 HP soft starter diagram, switchgear, and MCC elevations.

Stringfellow site telemetry & Scada system Project. Upgrading PLC to Compact Logix, added Panel View to Zone 3, Upgraded P&ID drawings to telemetry system, and upgraded the instrumentation. For example: level and flow transmitters, generated schematics and loop diagrams for the project.

New Melones Project. Generated Electrical Site Plan, Control Wiring Details, Building Power Plans, Control Schematics Drawings and Design of the Solar System (solar array, DC/AC Inverter, Metering) for the project.

Metro Wastewater Reclamation District – Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineer IV (Project Manager).
