WORK EXPERIENCE:
HealthSparq Business Systems Analyst III Portland, Oregon May 2014 – April 2016
Responsible for gathering and documenting requirements for Client-specific configurations and product feature requests for HealthSparq’s suite of healthcare transparency tools as a part of the Client Implementation team. Major accomplishments:
Assisted in introducing BA best practice to the newly formed Business Analysis team at HealthSparq, including standardization of project deliverables, requirements traceability, formal approval processes, peer reviews and cross-product training within the BA team.
Assumed the BA role on the Company’s second-largest client, Regence; worked tirelessly with the Client and my team to re-establish the Client’s trust in our ability to accurately capture and deliver on their requirements; Championed for my Clients in negotiating “must-have” product feature enhancement requirements and their placement on Product’s feature roadmap. These efforts led to a successful implementation of their Authenticated Provider Search tool.
Collaborated with fellow BSA and to refine the scoping /elicitation processes and standardize Provider Search configuration and data documentation, based on the needs of the other cross-functional teams that used them.

Provided business analysis services for various technology-based corporate initiatives for the Transformation group of IBM’s mortgage servicing division. Major accomplishments:
Produced business requirements for the 2-year, enterprise-wide initiative to demonstrate the compliance of the company’s high-risk applications with IBM’s Application Systems Control and Auditability (ASCA) standard; led the risk analysis effort in determining ASCA applicability of the company’s entire application portfolio.
Created the artifacts used in the ASCA certification of the Human Resources and ODS application systems under an aggressive schedule; served as a subject matter expert on the controls implemented during the formal review.
Wrote the business and functional requirements for the remediation of the company’s End-User Computing (EUC) applications portfolio to implement role-based access controls and separation of duty controls in preparation ASCA certification; guided project stakeholders and subject-matter experts in defining controls and validated remediation requirements against various IBM corporate instructions.

Responsible for requirements analysis, change management, and quality assurance for enhancements to the Commercial Bank’s proprietary customer relationship management system. Major accomplishments:
Produced functional requirements and led quality-assurance testing efforts for quarterly enhancements to the Enterprise Banking System (ESB) application; tracked and validated defects from discovery to resolution.
