UNDERGRADUATE FINAL PROJECT:

Design of Multilevel Inverter - This project is constructed by cascading multi-level H-bridge inverters and providing different voltage inputs to it. This arrangement can provide up to eleven to fifteen output levels depending on the voltage source used. My project has enabled me to analyse the interfacing of hardware and software in which I have derived knowledge on microcontrollers and coding. I have also gained excellent soldering skills implementing H-bridges and good experience in using the electronic test equipment’s like oscilloscope, multimeters, signal generators, tachometers etc.

UNDERGRADUATE INDUSTRIAL PROJECT:

“Operation and Maintenance of Kothagudem Thermal Power Station (KTPS)” in Andhra Pradesh, India. This project gives an overview of thermal power plant in which every object is having a vital role from generation to transmission comprising of air & gas flow systems, condensate system, regenerative feed water systems, steam turbines, generators and switchyard. The project has broadened my view on these systems along with the safety precautions that must be taken so that the equipment not only operates as near to peak efficiencies, but also protected from the accidents.

WORKSHOPS ATTENDED:

Attended workshops on LABVIEW conducted by Prayog Labs Pvt.Ltd, Robotics Championship series, Entrepreneurship Development program conducted by National small industries corporation and attended one day training program on Maintenance of 33/11 KV SS, PTRS, DTRS and Distribution Network at Central Power training institute/APCPDCL/Hyderabad.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Intern at Nani Electro Technics Pvt.Ltd 1 Sep ‘11 31 Dec ’11 Derived good knowledge about the manufacturing and distribution of power and special transformers ranging from 33 KV to 200 KV. This job role allowed me to work in a multi-disciplinary team which helped me to Improve my multi-tasking, time management and customer facing skills.

SKILLS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

Communication Skills:

I was regularly involved in group projects of 2-3 people at School and university which has helped me to develop good rapport and diplomacy which were necessary for exhibiting a successful project. I also gained excellent skills in report writing both in my undergraduate and in masters.

I am very fond of meeting new people from different countries and knowing about their cultures.

Languages: Fluent in English, Hindi and Telugu.

Team Working and Problem Solving Skills:

During my mini project at power plant, I had to work with a diverse team ranging from highly experienced professionals to trainee members which has helped me to develop my professional behavior and gave me an insight into team working on real time projects and also the importance of problem solving in critical and rational conditions in big power plants.

I was greatly appreciated for my confidence and leadership skills by the faculty of engineering during my undergraduate project for taking the initiative to complete the task on time. Being faced with difficulties to meet the target, we were able to finish the project by deadline with no major issues which I felt as one of my greatest learning experiences and achievements.
