PATRIOT TECH 12/15- Mechanical Designer- (Contract for Bilfinger Ind.) Designed/Developed guarding for rotating equipment such as pumps and motors and paper machine structures using SOLID EDGE and TEAMCENTER..

Helix ESG 06/13-06/15 Mechanical Designer- Designed/Developed and updated ROV tools and subsea structures using SOLID EDGE, SOLID WORKS and AUTOCAD. Created concept layouts. Participated in design reviews. Contacted vendors for part price quotes. Made sure that BOM’s were correct. Worked with production to correct manufacturing issues on the shop floor. Created building and Deck layouts.

T.I.O.T. 05/10-03/13 Design Engineer- Designed/Developed and reverse engineered Elevators/Spiders, Slips, Skid mounted Power Units and other pipe handling tools (with SOLIDWORKS 2012) used in drilling operations. Performed FEA's. Design Plans and B.O.M.s were created and updated for ISO and API certification. Created test procedures and manuals. Worked with vendors to purchase O.E.M parts and equipment used to manufacture the above. Most parts were castings that were machined afterwards. Some parts were welded sheet metal. Parts were followed from design to manufacturing and testing. SOLIDWORKS models and drawings were modified and updated as needed. Supervised and mentored junior engineers. Worked with production to correct manufacturing issues on the shop floor.

Swoosh Technology 01/10-05/10 Designer/Instructor-(Contract for Air Zone) Taught team members to use SOLID EDGE ST to design and assemble parts and assemblies used in air conditioning manufacturing. They were using AUTOCAD. BOMs were also created using the new CAD software. Parts were followed from design to manufacturing floor. Used sheet metal aspect of SOLID EDGE.

Technipower 05/07- 11/09 Designer-(Contract for Flamecutting) Created and updated customer approved drawings using AUTOCAD. Completed drawings were used as templates in Flame cutting procedure. CNC nesting. Performed quality assurance checks on completed parts as needed.

St. Philips College 08/06-12/06 Adjunct Faculty- Responsible for teaching safety, engineering, manufacturing, Automation and instrumentation theories.

Modern Engineering 09/05-12/05 Design Engineer- (Contract) for Bostrom Seating. Designed components, weldments, and end item assemblies using IDEAS, AUTOCAD, and SOLIDWORKS. Participated in design-review and FMEA meetings. Performed FEA's with COSMOS. Performed ECN changes and addressed customer complaints. Parts were followed from Design to manufacturing floor. Packaging was also designed. Cartons and bubble wrap/peanuts. Parts were machined and welded. Products were tested for UL requirements.

Austin Lighting Products 05/04-08/05 Sustaining Engineer (Contract) -System/Internet documentation updates, Data preparation, Purchasing, Drawing creation/updates using AutoCAD 2004 mechanical, QA Inspection. Ballast and wire specs documented. Performed part consolidation for cost reduction.

Cooper Lighting. 8/00-2/04 Project /Design Engineer - Engineer Class 1, 2, 3, and 4 specials (Project Management). Make design changes using IDEAS, Inventor and Solidworks. Sheet metal design. Inspect and approve new products. Designed small plastic parts. Confirmed UL requirements were being met. QA Inspection, Resolve product structure problems in Eufaula facility, as well as Monterrey and Juarez, Mexico sites. Correct NAFTA /Customs, and B.O.M issues.
