Brief outline of the role:
Reporting directly to the Company Director, my role in the company involves:
Management and maintenance of the steel fabrication workshop and the weekly scheduling of work.
Managing and overseeing the installation of structures on assembly.
Responsible for the pricing of potential projects and repairs in areas of Agri, Domestic and Commercial metal fabrication.

In brief, this role was predominantly working in apartment blocks, on the job balcony fabrication and stainless steel finishing. I was the team leader coordinating a team of 3 professionals and organising equipment and materials. This role was both salaries and part productivity thus resource management was also a required attribute.
March 2008 – Dec 2009.
M.C.R. Steel works. Tougher Business Park, Naas, Co. Kildare. Metal Fabricator.
In brief, this role included both mild and stainless steel fabrication. My role here involved drawing interpretation and pricing. I was also very much involved in the final quality control of the projects and validation against specifications.
June 2006 – Jan 2008: Self employed:
This was my own business which tapped into the peak demand in domestic construction. The main output was bespoke conservatories, staircases, balconies railings and Agri structures.

Some examples of my work:
Dublin Airport Authority. Terminal 2: I was one of the coordinators tasked with fabricating and fitting the secondary steel and glass wind barriers and all or the staircases in the new terminal “T2”.
The fabrication on and in the new Criminal Courts Building, Dublin.
Cervier Pharmaceutical, Arklow, Co Wicklow. Installation of access ports in roof to facilitate the removal of heavy duty machines.
O2 Arena Dublin. Fitting of inner main structures to support light gantries and the stairs system, railing's and security gates.
Education:
I am a qualified Metal Fabricator. I completed my apprenticeship with O’Brien Ceramic and General
Engineering, Arklow, Co. Wicklow. The training was facilitated through FAS from 1996 – 2001.
Phase 2 was completed with FAS Resource Tallagh.
Phase 4 was completed with FAS Resource Bolton Street.
Phase 6 was completed with FAS Resource Cork Institute of Technology.
FAS Certification number: 72/3501/1197.
