Combined proactive mindset with root cause analysis experience to enhance processes and drive corrective actions: implemented continuous improvement programs and executed Six Sigma strategies. Led root cause/failure techniques within a short time frame to eliminate recurrence, reduce downtime and frequency of production outages.
Led the training of Business Process Development (BPD) targets to maintain and improve labor hours, cycle, and production costs through variance analysis reporting with plant personnel.

Managed integrated product teams that consisted of product engineering, quality, standard routing technicians, operations and maintenance personnel to ensure maximum profitability and proper collaboration was met.
oPROJECT EXAMPLES:
Production yields were below accepted standard in nickel rectangular rolled bar. There was a large amount of scrap and grind losses in grade 327 wasp alloy rectangular rolled bar at the withdrawal of saw roll operations. An addition of an intermediate reheat during processing of the rectangle to the GFM forging sequence and difficulty in indexing the reheated rectangle onto the rotary forge following the reheat. The intermediate reheat was added to the forging of the preform to combat corner cracking on the reroll billet and the initial trial showed good results. The intermediate reheat was not compatible with the GFM manufacturing process.
An order of rolled bars were scrapped 10” too short for the finished length requirement; There wasn’t enough material for a full- length bar due to the multi-cut calculation listed on the traveler. A process to update the traveler was implemented to correct this problem and eliminate future occurrences.
Production yields were 2% lower than the business process development target on the nickel shape product. Material was too short to cut samples because the sample cut was not added to the traveler. The process to update the disposition for sampling on the traveler prior to cut to length was implemented.
The savage saw was down for over 30 days due to a bad hydraulic leak on the cylinder. It takes 1.5 days to tear down the clamping unit and clean the parts thoroughly. The saw was down due to a vibration on the saw head because the rod seals were leading on the cylinders within the vise clamp unit. The parts needed were not available in the stockroom because maintenance on the saw did not determine the cylinders would break beyond repair. Correction: keep spare parts on hand to eliminate down time.
