Nursing homes in the state of Kansas I utilize my extended care permit III, I adjust and reline dentures, smooth broken teeth, remove decay with a spoon excavator and place temporary fillings until more permanent restoration can be completed by one of our dentists, as well as, prophylaxis, debridements, scaling and root planning.

As a dental hygienist I perform full-mouth scaling and root planing/prophylaxis during oral conscious sedation appointments. I also see routine dental prophylaxis/periodontal maintenance appointments by request from patients and as needed due to the needs of patients and our schedule.
I also see patients in assisted living facilities for their dental care as needed with my ECP III Permit from the state of Kansas.
Second dental assistant, I am in charge of setting up the central sterilization area prior to the team arriving. I set up the operatory for all scheduled treatment throughout the day, breakdown each operatory after procedures, Chairside assist as needed for all procedures, I am responsible for Platelet Therapy preparation; I prepare the blood drawn from each surgical patient by using the centrifuge and then separate the fibrin clots from the blood sample and prepare the membranes as well. I am the second assistant for all surgical procedures including: extractions, bone-grafts, implants (traditional and mini), sinus lifts and bumps, impressions (alginate, PVS, KOR), bite-registrations. I am responsible for inventory/ordering, maintaining the lab (receiving and sending lab cases), Administering local anesthetics for Dr. Brittingham prior to restorative and surgical treatment. I am also responsible during oral conscious sedation cases, to prepare the patient prior to treatment, monitor vitals throughout procedure, waking the patient after treatment.
Front-Desk, as needed I answer phones, schedule patients for treatment, Greet patients when they arrive to the office, check patients out and take payment after their appointments. General office duties as needed.
