Preclinical Imaging

● Extensive hands on experience Siemens Inveon micro pet spect/ct, and ultrasound Imaging (visual sonic 770) Bioscan nano spect/ct mosaic pet with ge ct and vivoquant multi modality image post processing for spect, ct, pet,ct,and mri including optical imaging. Independent image assessment and analysis. Visualsonic ultrasound tumor implantation and assessment of tumor progression (prostate, lung, and liver) Doppler ultrasound measurements and preclinical cardiac echocardiography.

● Advanced protocol analysis to assess whole body, organ, and sub organ radiopharmaceutical uptake and distribution. Multimodality imaging, advanced imaging image fusion, data analysis, 3D image segmentation and manipulation.

● Studies on cardiac and respiratory gating in mouse and rats, cardiac Sesta MIBI uptake, and MDP bone studies. Morphometric bone analysis by Siemens Inveon software. Individual tumor segmentation and brain mapping of fMRI brain data analysis.

● Longitudinal tumor imaging of innovative drug compounds by micro pet/spect/ct and f 18 fdg pet analysis, advanced quantification tools including 3d roi segmentation and analysis.

● Nano spect/ct studies on thallium and Indium (dota) including bio distribution, dynamic renal perfusion studies and dual isotope imaging.

● Optical imaging and hands on experience in xenogen ivis 50 for tumor imaging,bioluminescence and cri maestro multi spectral fluorescence imaging. Regular qc of imaging equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Animal Surgery and Anesthesia

● Significant expertise in animal handling and test drug administration (iv,ip,sc, and oral) including intratracheal and pulmonary delivery in rodents by whole body or nose only

(Glascol/ Intox) and oral gavages. Anesthesia short term (IV and inhalation), long term anesthesia (summit anesthesia system) ventilator assisted intratracheal intubation in rodents.

● Surgery in accordance with highest scientific, humane and ethical principles in accordance to Aaalac, Federal, State and University regulations.Extensive aseptic live surgery, including microsurgery in rodent major vascular identification, isolation, cannulation, ligation and anastomosis (cardiovascular shunts) and post surgical care.Stereotactic rodent brain surgery including brain tumor implantation brain trauma models. (cci and lfp) and post surgical angiography and imaging.

● Cell culture and implantations for orthotopic and xenograft tumor developments.Tumors of Lung, Liver, Prostate and Kidney. Tumor measurement by imaging and extent of spread including grading and staging of tumors. Developed Orthotopic model of lung tumor on rodents by intrabronchial implantation of malignant cells. Euthanasia, Necropsy, perfusions and histology for tissue staining and antibody staining. Radioactivity and Biohazard tissue handling

● Radioactivity handling (high energy gamma rays in terms of time activity and distance) and injections (iv, ip retro orbital) in rodents and disposal of radioactive animals.

● Radioactivity record maintenance including documenting radiation safety procedures radioactivity handling and administration to rodents high energy gamma radiation. Independent licensed radioactivity user at Uniformed Services University.Biohazard tissue collection and waste disposal, worked in animal BSL level 3, with infectious cultures and with personal protective equipment’s.
