Work Experience

Posted in the highly reputed RP Centre, AIIMS for a period of 3 years, with 6 monthly rotatory postings in Retina, Cornea, Cataract & Refractive Surgery, Squint, Oculoplasty and Glaucoma.

Knowledge of comprehensive ophthalmology with experience in handling emergencies, part of the training and fine- tuned by the Casualty postings.

Working up patients, detailed evaluation of their condition, and formulating the best management strategy under the guidance of senior Consultants.

Well versed with the techniques of examination, viz, Direct and Indirect Ophthalmoscopes, OCT, Fluorescein Angiography, Tonometry, Glaucoma evaluation, Squint workups and the surgical techniques, viz, Phacoemulsification cataract extractions (Infiniti, Centurion systems with Foldable lenses), ECCE, Suturing techniques, repair of lacerations and other traumatic injuries, Intravitreal injections.

Was involved in the planning and organization of Pulse, the annual literary- cultural-sports event of AIIMS, being part of the core team for 2 years.
